Do you know where heaven is? Me neither..obviously it's a secret for now. But someday, the secret place will be a dwelling place for all the faithful and obedient. And the Most High God will be there.

The Most High, in reference to a "place".. is a "mountain" that few can climb without breaking a sweat.

It's a place where you know that once you have climbed, and you look back you see how high you have climbed and climbed.

The Valley is below, now that you have reached the Most High. You feel at peace and one with yourself. Once you know that you can see things all around you, means that God has been with you and IS with you.

Now look at the "mountain" as symbolism for TRIALS and TRIBULATIONS!... The bible is full of parables and "in likeness" too.

In the Syriac OT this verse reads:
"He sits in the shelter of the Highest and in the shadow of God he is glorified."
The Syriac words, setra or settara mean either a secret or a shelter. The same Semitic root is used here in the Hebrew bible. In Hebrew it means 'the hiding place'
This is a beautiful couplet of Semitic poetry, with the same idea reflected in two different clauses.
I would interpret this verse to say that such a person is in danger, but he is humbling himself under God and appreciating his majesty and his power to rescue him. In the Syriac, it continues, "I will say to my trusted Lord.."

In summary, the text is about a hiding place and the hiding place of the Most High is to abandon pride and trust in him.

Monks, Mystics and Yogis have been doing it for thousands of years.... It's about the WORSHIP IN SPIRIT that Jesus was preaching about.

People don't know much about it these days because these expressions from the Original Kingdom Gospel about the "Light of Life" have been ignored in favor of the Pauline Gospel of blood for sin.

This resource explains the difference between these two gospels and explains the secret place of the most high in terms of another one of those Psalms.

That is a euphemism that David used to say that God will provide us with a refuge from our enemies in times of trouble. The rest of the psalm tells us of the many ways in which God will provide for us and protect us. This was a psalm my dad sent to me while I was serving in a war zone in 1969. It is a very comforting and encouraging passage.

Sometimes called the "Kalb", it is the inner heart of man!
It is the heart within the heart!
This is where true prayer takes place within man!
This is the secret place of the Most High!
This is the Temple that God has so Graciously placed within all human beings!

The tabernacle of the Temple. The Holy of Holies where only the Priest could go on Yom Kippur.

Now that there is no Temple, that would be "where God lives". Christ is Really Present in the Holy Eucharist.

So...my answer is: "Wherever the Holy Eucharist is Celebrated"

I would say it's different for each of us ~ it's where we reach that place of safety, peace, complete trust in the Almighty God. You know His presence in a powerful way ~ and your filled with peace that passes all understanding.
To some it might be called the *inner sanctuary*
Verse14 is so beautiful: Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him
I will set him on high, because he knows and understands my name (has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love and kindness -- trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no never) Amp version
Thanks for posting this ~
