It's not just people attacking believers in God... people get on here and attack anyone who doesn't feel the way they feel about anything. All you can do is engage or ignore them given the whole free speech thing... I agree with you though.

As a Christian Fundie, I cannot imagine a better place for atheists to go to discuss, ask about and yes, even attack Christianity.

The Christians who CHOOSE to come to this forum, and ask and answer questions can see clearly the tenor of this place. And we can leave any time we feel we don't like what it's like on here - isn't that a great thing about freedom? There are some real questions, there are some attacks and some humorous discourse. I answer what I want to answer, laugh at some and ignore some. And sometimes I'll argue or hit back at someone who's here just for the attacking. With some people, that's just how they discuss stuff. If you won't, or can't talk to them in the manner that they hear, then move on to someone else.....

Hanger,
Please do not throw rocks at others. Particularly since we all live in "Glass Houses". I have seen a number of people from all different walks doing the exact same thing. I am a Christian but I do not feel that anyone is any better than the other.
Thanks,
Eds

Why are you asking this question?
Are you insecure?
I do not attack believers of God; I simply defend myself when believers criticize atheists for being "misguided" or other nonsense.

Yes! Just the same as anyone that attacks, different believers (Wicca, Paganism, Jews) or non-believers.

Voicing an opinion is not an attack--are you that insecure?

If you believe that people are using this as a forum to attack you, I would say that you are insecure.

I've seen it both ways. Obviously, everyone is going to defend their own beliefs. Those that hypersensitive to alternative trains of thought should probably refrain from R&S if they can't have intelligent banter.

Its the only way they can feel good about themselves....most of them are very insecure and have had very bad relationships with their earthly parents....so it is understandable..

what amazing me is how most of them don't even realize what fools thay make of themselves with their comments...

I typically attack those who attack me. Or I just ignore them. :)

No problems with insecurity.
