I feel WONDERFUL about it! Loved, blessed and very thankful b/c if I wasn't, I know for fact (long story) that I would have been abused emotionally, physically and sexually. So for me going to a loving home where those things were not prevelant IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME!!! I will be forever thankful.

My feelings about being adopted have changed many times throughout my life.
I just wish someone else had told me that that was OK - and I am allowed to feel whatever I like.

So - I'm telling you that also.
You don't have to feel like everyone else.
I find writing really helpful - I have a blog. Writing - and reading other blogs - and talking with other adoptees - have all been very healing for me. No other people can understand as well as those that have experienced what it feels to be adopted.

Here's a link to a whole heap of adoptee blogs -

I think adoption is wonderful. My husband's step-brother and his wife adopted 2 Korean girls a few years apart. The oldest one was in a Russian orphange and near death. The other they adopted directly from Korea. Those girl's lives were changed for the better by adoption. My Ex-brother in law was adopted also. His real mom could not provide for him so she did the best thing for him.

I'm not sure what you are asking?
Are you asking how we feel about twins?
How we feel about adopting twins?
????
Regardless of what we feel, it's what you feel inside. If you are feeling insecure for any reason, talk with your parents about it first. If you still feel terribly insecure perhaps counceling would be a path to take.

It depends on the day, and even the moment.

But I definitly encourage you to feel what you feel- not what you think you should feel or what other people shove down your throat that you should feel.

we adopted our son at birth...he's only 4, but i can't imagine having a stronger bond with any child. we love him more than it seems possible! we are fortunate to have family and friends that are adopted or adopted themselves so he is surrounded by others who he can relate to. adoption is the best thing we ever did!
