About 2 months after I split up with my ex girlfriend her best friend called roound and made sexual advances towards me. I was totally shocked and felt it was the wrong thing for me to be involved with her. She was disapointed but we parted as friends, but I thought about it after she left and I decided it would have been OK for us to be in a relationship.
She happened to call again. I don't know why she did exactly as I never contacted her and this time I told her that I did like her and that we should spend time together. This time she stormed out very upset and accused me of 'coming on' to her. She then told my ex the same thing and I really came away from this experience really totally confused. Can anyone explain this to me. Did I do something terribly bad here?

No actually you did not do a thing wrong, simply put your ex's best friend just wanted to see if she could reel in her best friends boyfriend. She played you dude.

Ok personally I think it was a trick they were playing on you to see if you still wanted to be with your ex gf. Girls are like that and they have these codes like your friends especially best friends shouldn't date your ex boyfriends or ex husbands. Just don't ever date your exs best friends or friends just like your friends shouldn't date any of your exs. It is just a friendship code thing a lot of people follow because it keeps drama down among everyone.

she was probably sent as a ploy the first time to see if you where really over her mate or if you were a dirty rat
or she was really up for it but when you responded she backed off cos she would lose a girl friend and that worried her
gilrs are weird and do strange things!

She sounds like a phsyco. Keep away from her and your ex, move on with your life and leave them behind. The worst thing you can do in this situation is to keep in touch with them both.

I honestly don't know what she could be doing but it sounds like she is just messing with your head I'd just try forget about her and move on
