I am between jobs an need money for Christmas. Last year I filed in Dec. at Jackson Hewitt but they said they are not doing that this year. I saw an ad for some place that was but can't remember who it was.

The IRS doesn't accept returns until January and never has. What you got last year from Jackson Hewitt was a short term high interest loan.

H&R Block is doing some loan program this year, but I believe it's limited to their prior customers.

You can't file your taxes until January. You couldn't file in December last year, either. Last year the tax prep companies were giving loans based upon what they estimated you refund would be based on your pay stub.

The banks are not funding that type of loan this year. H&R Block is setting up lines of credit beginning 10 December, but they are for clients who did their return at Block in one of the last two years.

IRS does not accept early tax return for the filing year.
Christmas is the same date every year and it comes every year, you should be prepared for it every year and have money to purchase gifts. Christmas shouldn't put you in a bind that you will have to be behind in your monthly bills.
Holiday loans would only be put you in more debt, since they charge a large fee for the loans, meaning less money in your pocket.. Anyway they aren't doing them anymore.

You cannot file your return until mid-January at the earliest. Apparently you're looking for a refund advance loan (not a good deal).
