1. How do you know there is another pup? Can you see it? Feel it? What presentation is it giving? (head first, feet first?)
2. What breed is she?
3. Is she pushing? How long has it been since the last pup?
4. Have you attempted to move her around a bit? A short walk around the kitchen or on the patio? Sometimes this can help move the pup.
If the pup is protruding from the birth canal, you can gently grasp it with a towel if it is slippery, your hand if not and gently pull the pup down between her legs. Be VERY careful not to pull too hard or too fast as you do not want to disjoint the pup.
There are other ways to assist in whelping a pup but as I am not there and do not have answers to the above questions I will not give advice because it could be WRONG to the specific situation.
This is one of the reasons why someone needs a mentor. It is also one of the reasons I've been hired to assist in whelping puppies.

take your hands and try guiding them out with your hands you can tug a little on them be careful. Sometimes people tell you to go to a vet which is great advice but like us we live in the country the vets are hrs away. keep you dog calm get to the vet as soon as you are able. good luck. also sometimes pups come in different times apart give her a little time. does she have a fever. good luck what kind of puppies don't let people get to you my daughter lost her puppy about a yr ago ask a question on here thats how i started getting on here people are so rude. my daughter died in a car accident in july and i will always help people and by no means judge them we don't where you live or how close a vet is how can they judge you do your best and it will work out.

My parents always employed a vet that would travel, night or day. They had a cow farm, so that was necessary, but this vet also treated small animals
If you are breeding and whelping pups, you should have an on-call vet to begin with just in case of emergencies like this

You can't go to the vet? Or you were stupid enough to breed her without thinking she might need one or being able to afford one?
She needs a vet. You have no experience with deliveries and she's having a hard time. The pup might be twisted in the placenta or umbilical cord, or lodged in the birth canal - pulling it might work or it might injure the pup or mother. Call a vet now. Work out a payment plan later. No other option.

Phone a vet for advice. Have you tried pulling the pup out your self??
You have to get that pup out or the pup and the mum will die. You really need a vet.

Hello, wash your hands very clean, and depending on the size of your dog, insert your finger or fingers into the birth canel and feel of the puppy to see if it is turned in the right direction. Its front paws and head should be pointing towards the opening of the birth canel. Move the puppy around with your fingers untill it is positioned right. If the opening is dry, use a slight lubercant to make the puppy slipery, but not to much, because you might choke it. Possibly, there is a different problem, ie, the puppy might be too large. Sometimes it takes a while for litters to be born, as long as all night. If the female isnt stressing to much, I would , be patient and just let her do it. Good luck

If you cant get to the vet for Whatever Reason, YOU will have to be the vet. Its possible for your dog to die while trying to push out that pup. Put your 2 fingers in the vaginal opening and feel if it is close enough for you to pull out. If it is, PULL IT OUT. If its further in you will have to put your fingers further in. The sak will be slippery so Hold On to the pup and PULL. Make sure your dog cleans the birth crud off the pup or you will have to do that also, Get back to me on this one, OK?? We all will be hoping for the best. YOU CAN DO THIS.
