Kvernmo can be the name of a location, and a family name as well. Kvern is meaning "mill".
The word "mo" was deriving from the Sami language, even before Germanic tribes were taking possession of Scandinavia. They were adopting the strange word as a part of names. You can translate it as "sandy ground" or "heath".
