My cat hella started balding, and now there is a huge bald patch on his lower back ...
& whats worse..... Every time I pet him there, his starts licking the air, matter of fact, he licks ANYTHING around until you stop petting him.
Sometimes I pet "too hard" and he turns and bites me. His hair feels really thin, almost like there is a layer of dander preventing hair growth. Ewww....
WTF is wrong with him? Is there any shampoo or medicine I can get for him? I fear its unhealthy, and its really unattractive.

This is a very common allergic reaction to someting in the food he's eating or in the environment he's getting into. Most of the time it's the food's fault.
DO NOT aggrivate his back any more, petting or handling him there is painful. Don't brush that area either. The missing fur was pulled out by him because the skin there is so uncomfortable for him.
Make a vet appointment for a checkup. They'll check to make sure it's not flea induced or skin mites. They can eliminate a lot of 'what if's'. A change in diet to a more allergy free food can really help the cat if it is diet related.
It's no picnic for him either. Pet him on the head, shoulders or belly, but not the sides and back. We have one with the same signs, and had him on the Purina venison & potato till the company changed it over to venison & chick pea--he started yanking his fur out within 3 hours of eating the new food. We have him pretty stable on Royal Canin Siamese 38 at this point.

Have you checked the skin underneath the place he is balding? Are there any bite marks (fleas), or other sort of red bumps indicating a skin infection? What are you feeding him? Have you recently changed his food? Has anything changed in your house? Is he under stress?
Any of these things could be the cause of the balding. As for the air licking and the biting, its either a quirk of his, or something is irritating him when you are petting him, and that's his reaction.
I would get him to the vet to get checked over. They can prescribe any medications the cat needs.

It sounds like she has hairballs. circulate on your vet or community puppy save and get her some hairball therapy. ( this is basically a laxative) whether if the blockage is intense sufficient you are able to could desire to have her examined by using the vet. If this is purely been a pair days the hairball therapy ought to do the trick. additionally, attempt getting her some cat grass, that's a great source of fiber that may not make her puke. Brushing her regularly will help to stay away from hairballs to boot.

You should prob take your cat to the vet. it could be a number of things. including his diet. Be careful there are some some conditions that are contagious to humans. ring worm is one of them. most skin conditions are easy to treat with the right meds and time. it could also be an infection if he is an outdoor cat. take a close look to see if there is any swelling. but make sure you take him to the vet.

Do you have fleas? HE no doubt has a skin irritation which can lead to a skin infection from scratching. You need to find out what is irritating him first than treat it. If you cannot determine that, take him to your vet....
