Yes, this girl is spoiled and asking for way too much and has an attitude problem. BUT, I don't think your answer to her was very helpful. It sounds like you are attacking her for not believing in god. What's wrong with that? It's not like she's telling YOU not to believe in him.
Just because you choose to believe god exists and he's done "so much" for you, doesn't mean it's the absolute truth, it's just an opinion and there's no reason to insult others and call them stupid for not sharing your opinion.
And like Noressa said, Christmas today is a lot more about compassion and family than it is about religion. I'm an atheist and so are my parents, we celebrate Christmas with my Catholic grandparents every year and have a great time. I'm thankful that not everyone is as intolerant as you are.

What does believing in god have to do with getting presents? Your precious religious holiday has been usurped by the greed and want mentality of the mainstream. Christians are every bit as guilty of it as anyone else... I bet YOU have a big fat Christmas list yourself. How about doing something for the poor this year instead?

So what if she wants presents and doesn't believe in your bible god?

Are Christmas trees and the giving of presents mentioned ANYWHERE in your bible? If this is a serious question then there is something wrong with you. She's just a little greedy.

Uhh go play in traffic or something. The girl wasn't even saying she didn't believe in God. And ya know, I don't believe in God but I do still celebrate Christmas. I think it's a great time of year that everyone gets together to help the community and those in need. I don't have to believe in God to want to make a difference in the lives of others.
I will though teach my children the meaning of Christmas and allow them to make their own choices, but c'mon honey...JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE DOESN'T BELIEVE IN GOD DOESN'T MAKE THEM A BAD PERSON!!

Forgive me for the beginning of this responce, I just thought you would have better things to do than bash a 14-year-old girl for wanting things for Christmas.

Who wants to believe in any god? Just buy the girl some presents already.

I fail to see how this affects Christmas. You only have to believe in the Hallmark Corporation to celebrate current Christmas traditions.

Why does it matter to you? Is she hurting you at all? No she is not, so get over yourself.

Every aspect of Christmas is Pagan in origin. Countless non-religious folks celebrate Christmas. Why is that so difficult to comprehend or accept?

Did you come in here for a lesson on how the church took over a Pagan holiday, or do you really not know?

Spoiled little girls. Real women can buy themselves presents, although plenty of men will do it for them..willingly.

Bunch of hypocrites. Just like the Jehovah's Witness, they do not allow the giving of presents yet if you give them one, they're not going to turn it down. These are weaklings with zero credibility.
