India ink is used in experiments as a visible tracer for water movement in xylem vascular bundles because it is relatively nontoxic and is easily observed in cells that have taken it up.

Leaves or roots, marked on their surfaces with India ink, are used to track growth changes in young plants. http://www.studyworld.com/newsite/ReportEssay/science/Biological%5CDistribution_Of_Growth-38164201.htm
India ink is a dispersion of carbon black in water. It is not in solution so can clog narrow pen tips or plant vessels but when India ink is diluted it readily moves to vessel ends.
Material safety data sheets for India ink are available because carbon black made from a vegetable origin (usually grape vines) is used as food coloring. The food colorant is known as E153.
If the ink contains alkaline stabilizers like shellac dissolved in borax solution or materials like soap, gelatin, glue, & gum arabic there is an increased chance of problems.
On the short term it is not going to impact a water movement experiment but in long term it may result in poor growth or even plant death if it contains toxic elements.
Plants in can be observed by using aqueous Eosin Y or azosulfamide.

Not at all! If you use ink instead of water on a white rose, you will get flowers that are white with blue splotches. If you use ink on a red rose tree, the flowers will be purple. No problem!
There you are! That makes about as much sense as your spelling. It's 'does' not 'dose', and 'affect', not 'affcet'.
Hope that helped.

I have no idea what AFFCET means? How big a dose are you going to give them....if you want answers, have enough respect to type the question in some form of ENGLISH.
How can you not be embarrassed? You present yourself as a really ignorant, sloppy and careless individual.

Yes it ruins the roots and spcial water roots to get
water. I would never use ink on a plant it might even
die. :(
