alcoholics do not drink for the taste. they drink for the affect that the alcohol has over their body.

If they are actually an alcoholic, they drink to get drunk.

Most people drink for a little of both.

True alcoholics drink it to avoid going through withdrawls. People becomming alcoholics have a range of excuses though if they don't mellow out on their own or get help they'll soon be drinking it for reason number 1.

If they drank for Taste they would be called tasteohalics not alcholics. They drink to get drunk!!!!

I personally think it's a mixture of the two. You become addicted to the taste and the feeling of getting drunk!

The more hardcore drinkers I'm sure will tell you that it's an aquired taste, and that they drink for both reasons, but I will tell you that it is horrible and I would definately not drink if it weren't for the drunk part.

neither they may start because of the taste or the feeling of being intoxicated but once they become full blown alcoholics then they drink more to ease the pain...believe it or not when alcoholics dont drink it actually causes them unbelieveable amounts of pain...

I think both but there is another added benefit...girls drop their panties a lot faster when alcohol is involved. Good times!!
