focus on the sensory in the moment.
the smells, the sounds, your clothes on your skin. focus your attention completely on your own breathing. the taste in your mouth. focus completely on what things feel like in your body, especially your breath. if you can focus on this that is all you can do. no deep thoughts. this is meditation

If you could explain what you mean by "deep thoughts" that would help with the answer. Nothing wrong with being a deep thinker, but not being able to redirect yourself back to the present concerns me.

A soldier is murdered, a disarmed people stand helpless, and the authorities take twenty minutes to control the situation inside the city. The reaction from the government is to speak for Islam and tell soldiers not to wear their uniforms off base in their own country. It is a pathetic sad day, and more will follow!
