I'm just making sure I haven't been double crossed by my pharmacy. Its supposed to be 20 mg per pill brand-name adderall IR. Its a small, orange pill. On one side it says "AD" and on the other side there's a line down the middle and it says "2 [line] 0". Brand name or generic?

From what I understand there are actually some differences. It doesn't matter now, I've paid for brand name and I gotta know for sure.

Sir, there is no capsul. I have adderall IR not XR, as I specified. You're talking about XR I'm guessing.

@ xxVilla, that is not the pill I got. Mine is light orange. It was on the page, but it wasn't that one.
@Noor, I paid $250 for it and specified this one.

They told me it was brand name. Why would they lie?

What you have is the real deal. I've taken it before, ONLY in brand name, so I know what the pill looks like. But here's a site for pill identification, just to assure you:
http://www.drugs.com/imprints/20-ad-1132.html
Q said that you have the generic form, but that is not true. Not that he is wrong, but he's referring to the wrong kind of Adderall. The Adderall he spoke of is Adderall XR (extended-release). Adderall XR is only available in capsule form. You are taking the immediate-release (IR) Adderall tablet, and the 20mg tablet is orange.
So never to worry; you've gotten what you paid for!
*Update* Sorry, I meant to give this link, to show you the different pills and colors by milligrams, since there is an orange and peachy colored pill:

You got the generic Adderall 20mg. It is the LAW to give a generic unless brand name is specified.
Pharmacists are not waiting for you to show up with YOUR prescription in anticipation of double-crossing you!
Try working one day in a pharmacy and see how hard it is before you make a judgment call about the pharmacy.
You got what you paid for. Next time try getting brand name and see the HUGE difference in cost of the prescription.
@ Q : Your pharmacy/pharmacist bashing is completely irrational and stems from ignorance. Get a clue about the profession, because right now you sure do not have one! Go through A educational program for 5 years and then talk.

I agree with Noor..... pharmacies do NOT rip people off.
We have to sell the generic version (lowest cost) of a drug if it's available, unless the Dr. specifies No-substitution on the RX AND if the patient wants brand name, they pay the cost difference between the generic and brand name.
I DO work in a pharmacy, and idiot customers like yourself do not make our job easy....educate yourself and ask questions at your pharmacy and LISTEN to what they say before you bash them !!!!
If you're unsure of what you got, the phone number is on the label of your pill vial...CALL THEM AND ASK !

Wouldn't the generic work the same? I mean, that's the point of generics.
According to a pill ID'er online its Adderall.
Why would your pharmacy "double cross' you? Paranoid much?
I Googled "pill id".

YOU GOT THE GENERIC. The real Adderall says:
On the top half of the capsule:
"Adderall", and then below where it says Adderall (but still on the top half of the capsule, it says "XR".
On the bottom half of the capsule:
It has how many mg it is. For example "20mg"
(Real Adderall XR 20mg is organge; but, just because it's organe, doesn't mean it's real!)
(Real Adderall XR 15mg is blue on one half, and white on the other)
You're smart for being paranoid about the phacists. They WILL and DO, RIP YOU OFF!!! They will lie to you as much as they can!!

ok 1st of all pharmacies dont rip you off they give you what was perscribed, its a law for them to give u a generic pill which is exactly the same thing, no difference what so ever unless the perscription states clearly no substitution where then the pharmacy must give you name brand. second of all i believe you do have adderal
