They are different,

For admission to a military academy, your vision must be:

Vision must correct to 20/20 in each eye.

Myopia less than 6.75 diopters spherical equivalent uncorrected. ( near sightedness )

For admission into ROTC:

Visual acuity must correct to 20/20 in one eye and 20/100 in the other eye.

Myopia less than 6.75 diopters spherical equivalent uncorrected.( near sightedness )

Distant visual acuity which does not correct to 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the other is disqualifying for entry into the U.S. Military Academy and ROTC.
