The boy scouts in Philadelphia were evicted from a building that they built due to their policies against homosexuality. In this case, the goverment's morality on the issue disagreed with the morality of the boyscouts... so they were evicted.
Do you think it is right for the government to do this? Please explain.

If you use words like "sin" to describe your morality, the govenment cannot enforce it, but if you use words like "discrimination" it's ok? hMmm

No government should enforce morality. Nor religion for that matter.
This isn't about what you asked though. The Boy Scouts were discriminating against homosexuals via housing. This is illegal. It has nothing to do with morals. Except for the poor morals that are being taught to these kids.

So why have police departments and persons like that that guard society. all of us would be working a muck and destroying one yet another alot faster then. Doing drugs and alcohol does infringe on others rights. the suitable tochronic around with no need their existence positioned into possibility by ability of people who opt for to drink and do drugs andchronic. There are 2 components to each coin and a couple of components to each thing you're saying is a victimless crime.

Most of the people in the govenment are people who believe that Bible is the word of GOD.
In the bible Jesus Christ pbh tells us.
Matt 5:27
You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery: Matt 5:28 But I say to you, That whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matt 5:29 And if your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is better for you that one of your members should perish, than that your whole body should be cast into hell.
According to the above verses even looking with lust is adultary, If the people who are in the govenment . Feel the above verses are true how do they give away licences to prostitues....
And the courts take decision on this basis that - if the two partners matured and are going ahead by their own free will ... they have not commited any SIN.
So are we to obey GOD, or to use our brains to judge and decide moral laws.

The conditions of use of the building should be followed - if they don't like it, they can go elsewhere.
On the other hand, organisations that already used the building before the discrimination clause was written into the contract ought to have been grandfathered.

There was NO morality nor anti-discrimination motive behing what the city government did here. They are the biggest hypocrites there are.
Notice the Boy Scouts were told they could stay if they wanted to pay the $200,000.00 lease!!!

"City officials said the market value for renting the building was about $200,000 a year, and they invited the Boy Scouts to remain as full-paying tenants. Jeff Jubelirer, a spokesman for the local chapter, said it could not afford $200,000 a year in rent"
Isn't that the real reason the Scouts are leaving?

I don't see that the government told them they had to do anything. They only said they couldn't do certain things in a Government owned building at a reduced rate.
I am quite sure that there is a lot of open office space in Philadelphia.

If the boy scouts want to discriminate against gays they have to do it on their own dime. They were being subsidized by the city. To use the subsidies they need to follow the city's anti-discrimination policy. Yes I think the city had every right to do this.

How can they be evicted from a building they own.? It really irks me to think a group can bully their way into something. And they really have no desire to be in the group they just want to make trouble and to get the publicity.
