In elementary school (80's), we had the choice of background for our school pictures: traditional, lasers, and the other one. The other one was a black background with the subject looking in to the camera, but there was a little profile picture of them in the corner, looking off to the side. What were these called and where can I find one?

I dont know if they had an official name, but what they really are is a double Exposure print you take two seperate negatives (or digital files as todays standard goes) and you print it that way i don't think many people do it any more because it has gone out of fashion, but most photographer CAN do it if you ask.

Haha, so a silver $one hundred digicam is better than a black digicam that expenses between $900-$8000? the image sensor is better and better and the lenses are interchangable. the known of the pixels are so plenty better. I actual have a Fuji factor and shoot and 2 canon DSLRS. you have complete handbook administration and better administration over your settings with DSLRs. With a silver factor and shoot digicam the photos are extra grainy and you're able to't manually concentration with the aid of a lens. to no longer point out the physique value is undesirable. optical and digital zoom is any such shaggy dog tale while in comparison with the positive optics of a interchangable lens, particularly an L sequence lens. factor and shoot cameras supply you little to no bokeh (background blur) and in my recommendations that makes the main imaginative photograph. what's better having a digicam with a lens you could no longer exchange so which you would be able to no longer exchange the zoom, wideness or intensity of container? or having digicam which could tackle 100s of diverse lenses commencing from extensive attitude, telephoto zoom, fisheye, mounted and macro? The black prehistoric finding cameras are made that way so they are able to experience extra delicate on your hand, to place the numerous buttons and dials on and confident simply by fact so they are able to look like older slr cameras.

They used to be called "Retrospect" . The Main picture was done with the subjects clothing showing, then a black draper was placed around them (like a barber would put on you) and the second shot was taken, turning off the fill light. Wow!!! Way back when!
