Um, it depends on if you know him in real life. If you do, just ask him face to face... much bolder and more admirable.
But if you only know him online, you could just ask outright.
Or you can be subtle and dance around it but honestly, lots of guys don't pick up on subtle hints.
BTW, I wouldn't say "loves me back". Love is a very strong word and if he's your internet CRUSH and you say LOVE, that could easily freak anyone out... internet or real life.
