I have asked myself that question. For someone who respects themselves, they'll say single. For someone who's extremely lonely, they'd choose the other. you have to think these things through. If you're always settling, you'll settle lower and lower...you could end up in a dangerous relationship! They could get worse...you should let this person go and get out on the dating scene! Have a great time, see what's out there, don't get too attached. Pretend that you're on a dating show like I love NY and your'e NY and you've got pleny of guys/girls competing for you, and YOU get to pick the best. If you think of yourself that way, you will get the best companions and they will respect you more and be even crazier about you for respecting yourself so much better than so many other girls out there do!

I would much rather be single. Single and free and is way better than being in a horrible love position. If my relationship was making me miserable and tearing me and my boyfriend apart I would definatly end it. Although people might make fun of me at being single, I would know inside that I ddi the right thing. There is no reason to oneself into a miserable position. Even when one has to give up a relationship.

I'm in a very happy relationship of 7+ years. But if it were to be between these two options (miserable relationship and single), I would definately shoose single. I've been in both and being single is a WHOLE LOT better than being in a miserable relationship.

Single:
Showing that your open, and noone is next to you could make other people want to meet you and date you. Nothing embarrassing about being single..
Miserable relationship:
Who would want a miserable relationship? Crying all the time.. Worrying all day long..?
Torturing yourself?
SINGLE ALL THE WAY :p

Single, indefinitely.
This was actually the decision I had to make a few months ago... xD I chose single, and I'm now getting involved with a guy who is SO amazing because I left a craptastic relationship.
So yes, definitely single.

Single. What's the point of a miserable relationship?
You're not sharing anything of yourself, which is one of the major points of a relationship.
In such a situation you are stymied from getting into a decent relationship whereas when you are single, you have no such constraints.
