All models of Sony's PlayStation 3 have internal 2.5-inch Serial ATA Hard Disk Drives. (The 60GB & 80GB models also have multiple memory card readers for most common formats: SD, Compact Flash, Memory Sticks, etc.)
Is it "any good?" Hell yeah! It's the most powerful games console on the planet...

the ps3 is brilliant, i just got it and im impressed. Its also very quiet! But if your planning 2 get the ps3 get the 60gb because it has 4 usb ports, 40gb only has 2 usb ports. 60gb can play ps2,1 games. 40GB cant play ps2,1 games.
But if your not interested to play the ps2 games then you might aswell get 40gb. But there are only a few 60gbs left becasue sony have stopped making them.
The memory is in the hardrive, its built in. If u want to use the ps2 memory card u have 2 buy a ps2 to ps3 memory card convertor.
good luck

All of the PS3's have built in Hard drives, so a separate memory card is not needed.

PS3 ROCKS! built in hard drive no need for memory cards, built in wireless for free on-line play. Some good games and more coming, and it's a Blue-Ray player.
