I wouldn't exist anymore, so there's nothing to think, but that would be messed up. I'd cry, but I couldn't.

I would think, dang, I'm glad I lived life by a standard that meant something. I'm glad those guys that thought up God were so smart. But then, if that's how it is for you, there won't be anything to think about will there? Don't take that chance. If you get to the other side and find out God is waiting for you, you'll be real sorry you didn't believe.

I'm pretty sure, that if THAT were the case, we wouldn't be capable of thinking after death. So this question is moot.

What is the condition of the dead?
Eccl. 9:5: "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."
Ps. 146:4: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts ["thoughts," KJ, 145:4 in Dy; "all his thinking," NE; "plans," RS, NAB] do perish."

no offense , but if you died and there is no afterlife you wouldn't realize anything. However, there are three things that I'm fairly certain of concerning spiritual subjects; that is: 1) there is a god, 2) there is a continuation of life, and 3) what we do here matters.

maybe you mean purgatory? that's close to what u mean? if so, it doesn't seem so bad. it's boring, but you won't burn. besides, others will be in the same position as you eithr way...or do u mean we're all just ghosts flying around still on earth? that'd be sweet... we can't communicate with the living too much but i'd spend all my time looking for that kid from the 6th sense so I could make him do stuff for me.

If that were the case, once we die we will no longer have thought of any sort, and therefore will not know the difference anyway.

It is impossible to realize there is "nothing" after you die. You will only be able to realize there is "something" if in fact there is something.

Don't think it would matter much, as the thinking process would have stopped, right?

You wouldn't think anything, because there wouldn't be any thinking going on.
