I'm not sure that's what you call it, because it's been THAT long since I've had ice cream. But when I heard about it from an Americans United press release email, I ground my teeth in frustration. Just how can anyone vote for a guy like that?
In case you're interested, I'll put the AU web address below. The whole name is Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Good people.

I did, but it wasn't related to ice cream.
Last time I checked, all religions required dogmatic adherence. Freedom of religion was invented by people who didn't want to suffer under religious dogma any longer.
Freedom requires thinking and a government that doesn't enforce religion...something that Romney doesn't seem to understand.
I hope that when he said "freedom requires religion" that he meant freedom must include complete freedom of belief, not that his faith should be necessary in order to live free.

My ice cream headache was pretty big, although I guess I'm technically not a philosopher yet as I haven't published anything.

I only have a minor in philosophy, so my headache wasn't too bad. Of course I could have it because I had to deal with 7th and 8th graders all day.

now i'm going to take a stab here and surmise that he was talking about the importance of the first amendment, that in order to have freedom you have to be able to freely have or not have religion.

LOL... How many philosophers are there...? That's you number.
Like Mitt knows anything about freedom -- he was raised Mormon.
