Pharmacist said NOT to take other painkillers in addition to this, for obvious reasons. So now what? Prescription was for 500mg Naproxen twice daily.

You actually can take other pain killers with it, but it is not recommended. You actually can increase your risk of ulcers, especially, if you take it with ibuprofen or aspirin.

That could be a sign of migrain, so talk to the doctor that prescribed the Naproxen. They might change the medication.
Midrin may be an alternative.
