I have no idea why these people are saying there are no more prophets. The Bible says that in the last days- which we've been living in since the time of Christ- there will be plenty of them. If prophecy ceased in the Old Testament, what do people call the New Testament?
I'm a big fan of Bishop T.D. Jakes. The man has done loads for the homeless and for the black community in America, and has also done quite a bit of work in Kenya. His book ''Reposition Yourself'' has helped me a great deal, personally. He's one of the very few televangelists out there right now that I see as an honest person who's doing what he's doing for Almighty God, and not for the almighty dollar. I don't know whether or not he counts as a prophet, but he's a great Christian leader whose contributions cannot be denied. Do an online search on his name and you'll see what I mean.
Peace,
Drew

Wow, I'm surprised that everyone is saying that prophecy has ceased. That doesn't sound like scripture to me. I would say that just for an example, Rick Joyner is someone who currently holds the 'office of a prophet' (which is different from the gift of prophecy, all believers can have access to that at times).
Here is his ministry's website. (His ministry is called Morningstar):

There are no modern day prophets. The only ones who need them are the false religions who cant keep their story straight.
The LDS will tell you that Hinkley is a prophet, but his only prophesie is, be a good person and love everyone. He or any other prophet of the LDS church have made a prophesy that has come to truth. But they have many that didnt come to truth... mmm The Bible makes it very clear that if a prophet gives a prophesy that doesnt come to truth is a false prophet.

Sorry, thats not a prophet..A prophet is someone our creator has spoken to and given a word from HIM to give to HIS chosen people about something that will come to pass..It wont be about simple stuff,it will be to HIS chosen people and all are not HIS chosen, and it will have meaning concerning the future..Shalom

There is no current prophet. In the Bible, they've all prophesized in the Old Testament and they are now long gone.
The prophecy days ended when Christ was ressurrected.

there are no Prophets - they're all dead now - they all died out after Christ was resurrected.
[but for modern-day "prophets" try people who have changed the world, like ghandi, for example?]
