Yes. I believe it is possible to become possessed. It is in the bible and I don't think that the demons are effected by the times. Many consider it to be a thing of the past...but I do not agree. Some people that was once thought to be possessed, we have learned now are attributed to epilepsy and mental illness. I do, however, believe that it still happens. A possessed person is aware of the separate entity residing within but powerless to rid themselves of it. A demon does not have an earthly body and will invade the body of others and take possession in order to rest. Their rest is our torment. They will torment the possessed soul while they rest. They do not leave easily. They can even possess animals.

Oh, yes! The deceiver does all he can to torment. Most possessions are because the demons were invited. Occult practices, witchcraft, wiccan, sorcery, divination, magic, wizardry, etc can easily invite the demonic. Be careful with your words. There is life and death in the tongue.

Yes, I have been possesed by a demon and have encountered others which inhabited people and/or places, all of which I cast out.
