My son is 3 and I have heard good reviews about the Fisher Price Easy Link Internet Launch Pad. It comes with Elmo, Zack & Wheezy from Dragon Tales and a little dog. It takes kids only to those character's web sites, so it is very kid friendly. The reviews that I read stated that kids learn how to use it on their own within a day or so. There are also additional characters that you can buy, like Barney, The Wiggles and some others. I got the one for my son at Walmart for around $25.
