Yes, make sure that you are added to DEERS (he'll have to do this at personnel) as soon as possible after the wedding.
You will need to accompany him or take the paperwork from personnel to a military ID facility to get your ID card and then you go to any military health care facility you like.
My salute to your soon to be, and my thanks to you both.

As soon as you are married and your information is entered into the DEERS system you are enrolled in Tricare Standard. This has a yearly deductible and a co-pay and you need you find a doctor that is approved by Tricare. To get Tricare Prime, you must have a military ID card and register for it through the website or in person at the Tricare Office.
Can you use any base facilities, not necessarily. If he is on unaccompanied orders and you are living there, then yes if they are accepting new patients you can go. But if you are just there visiting no, you can't jsut walk in a make an appointment to be seen. Now if you go together to where he is stationed, then you sign up at the MTF there and are either assigned a Primary Care Manager (PCM) or if they aren't accepting new patients you will be allowed to see a civilian doctor that is accepted by Tricare. They will have them listed on their website. So your current doctor maybe in the system.

Yes. Any base. The folks at the Fort Rucker Personnel Office will sign you up and even give you your new ID card. Remember to bring your hubby along and that marriage certificate as well. You will also be eligible for health care at the Army Hospital at Fort Rucker and every other military treatment facility, plus the use of the post exchange and every other on-base facility. Your future husband's branch of service is no barrier to that.
Best wishes to you both.

Yes, all military are connected when it comes to health care. As a Marine I went to an Air Force base as well as a Naval base. Now, 30 years later I just go to the VA and get great care free of charge.

As the proud wife of an American Fighting man you are thereby entitled to treatment at any military facility. I am a retired Army guy and I had one child born in a Navy Hospitial, another in an Air Force Hosp. and even one in a civilian joint. Mother much preferred the Navy! Go figure.
You will get the best service available at an extremly low cost....free!!
Be proud of your man and Thank you BOTH for your service to your Country!!

Yes, you can go to any military base. You have to talk to TRICARE though because they will have a MTF assigned to you already. If the Army base is close then that is where you might be assigned. If you are not within 50 miles of a TRICARE provider then you will have to switch to TRICARE Prime Remote. Go to TRICARE's website for more information.

You have to contact the patient liason at the base to see if they're accepting new patients. Some MTFs (military treatment facilities) stop accepting patients when they can't care for anymore and refer you to civilians for care. You can also find out when you sign up for Tricare in the Tricare office of the local base.

YES, as long as you are married, and your husband has you in the DEERS network. The USMC will tell your husband what paperwork to fill out and it's good at any US Military Base!
