I am going on holiday and want to take a charger for my phone and ipod, so I need to know which voltage converter to purchase.

The voltage in Mexico is the same as in the United States

110v . The plug will be a basic US plug

BUT if you are normally on 230/240v your current charger should work with an adapter only - it will just take longer to charge.
