because they are probably not real christians. there's a ton of them out there that don't practise what they preach. We like to call them hypocrites. Also, applicable are those that may follow the Bible, but not walk in love. They are far worse than the ones that maybe, can't quit smoking, or drinking or gambling LOL. There is a major difference between a Christian that is struggling with something, and an outright phony. Please do not judge us all by those few that are mean, judgmental and phony. It is not all of us, but i agree that those few do make the rest of us look bad. ♥

They may or may not be Christians. Many times, young believers can t seem to live the way the Bible teaches. We as humans are flawed and will remain sinners after we are saved. It s normal, I suppose, for everyone to think that after we are saved Christians are pure and sin no more. If unbelievers are constantly looking for a Christian to fall or fail, they will certainly see it. The Bible teaches that Christians should be a shining light and should make people wonder what is different about them, but in a good and wholesome way. Unfortunately, when Christians fall back to their sinful ways, that s when unbelievers are watching. The Bible teaches not to judge others if you don t want to be judged yourself.

I do not know who these Christians who work with you and so cannot say why they are mean and phony. But best if you ask them why they act the way they do and not the way the bible states

It can be true that there are people who are hiding behind Bibles, this does not make them Christian. Is there something specific that they are doing that I could offer advice on?

It is possible that some of them are Christians in name only or they are spiritually immature. Maybe you need to confront them about this in a nice way and listen to what they say without you being mean to them. Just a suggestion!

Aww, crud.
Now why'd you have to point out the hypocrisy? Now they'll all be whiney for an hour or six.
They are mean because they use the religion as a means to prop up their illusion of self-importance.

Perhaps people such as that have other problems at home they are afraid to discuss..for fear of looking silly or whatever.. the real thing is though..unless this "work" is in a church or chuchlike venue.. why is religion being discussed when people are supposed to be working??
