This guy has really gotten me confused. About three or four weeks ago I started talking to him over IM. When asked who I liked I said him. He seemed fine with it and seemed like he wanted to get to know me better. The next day, he sits next to me in my writing class and starts talking and joking around with me. I tried to IM him that night and he didn't answer. Actually, he didn't answer my IMs until about three days ago, where he talked for about 5 minutes, maybe less. Last night I attempted to figure out what was wrong with his head (and if the brain was working) and he wouldnt answer. I told him that I didn't knwo what I did but I'll leave him alone and won't talk to him. He still didn't answer. So he knew I was mad at him, and he wouldn't try to fix it. Today I walk into my writing class and he sits at the table next to mine, but the tables are so close together he might as well be sitting next to me. just talking to me in general. When our teacher told us that 7 kids in that class were failing, we were almost sure we were two of them. All we did was talk during the class and we got next to no work done. We got in trouble a few times today for talking while our teacher was going over directions, but the thing that really confuses me is he said a while ago that "He has no idea who he likes and he just wants to be with someone" that was before i told him i liked him. I found out from his best friend that me and another girl in our school liked him and that he was leaning towards the other girl a little more.
It seems like he likes me but I dont know- what should i do from here and what should i say the next time i see him??

If this guy is less then 18 then I'm sorry boys are way more immature then girls as teenagers, he probably changes his mind more then his clothes, nothing you've done wrong, just leave it be, and have fun if you're in school, if he wants to be your friend he can work for it!

try this ask the teacher if you may change seating may find out two different things #1 class grade may go up or #2 if he likes you, he may try to get seated next to you but sounds also to me that the only time he wants to talk to you is when no one wants to take with him just a guess on that but would not be surprised

I would say give him up and go on to look at someone else to like. Sounds to me as if he's only interested in talking to you when he wants to. Anyway there are more fish in the sea.
