It all has to do with pain perception and nerves. I was having acute onset lower right abdominal pain. They would hit without warning, last 30 minutes, take my breath and legs away, then vanish, leaving me extremely sore but mobile again! I ended up in ER, they did a barrage of tests and I returned to out-patients to be told all my organs are normal, so they wanted to do explorative surgery! I refused! I then got on here and read about referred pain, saw my Physician, had a chat, was sent for a MRI and one prolapsed disc. Just think they could have surgically explored my abdomen, probably removed my appendix in hope that was the problem and never have located the disc problem. I was thinking appendix, my Physician Kidney Stones, Discs were never discussed.
