I am going to liquidate a corporation prior to year-end, and would prefer to use 2007 tax forms. Does anyone have access to 2007 Form 1120, Form 4797, and Schedule D that could email them to me in PDF format or direct me to a site where I could download them?

The 2007 1120 and 1120 schedule D are due to be released this week; the 4797 was out 11/1.

For the ones that are done, go to irs.gov and just type the form number into the search box.

The 2007 forms probably aren't available yet. They'll be available at irs.gov under "more forms and publications" as soon as they're finalized.

Doing a return on another year's forms and just changing the date is not recommended, since there can be changes from year to year. On individual forms there pretty much always are; on corporate forms there sometimes are. The form 4797 for 2007 is out there now on irs.gov, but the others aren't yet .

When dissolving a corporation, you can use the most recent tax form available. Simply draw a line through 2006 and write 2007 above it.

Its important to remember that filing a final return with the IRS does not dissolve a corporation. You must follow your state's dissolution procedure.

You should be able to find them on irs.gov. If not, what I've done is just prepare the return on a 2006 form and just change the date at the top of the form, using photoshop or something like that. It's not illegal.
