It's different with all guys. But generally- they get pretty messy. So don't be super offended when they leave towels on the bathroom floor, or dishes piled up on the coffee table. The do leave the seat up in the bathroom. It's habit, once they left mom's house the freedom got to their heads. They make bodily function noises all the time. Sometimes for show, others just to piss you off. They enjoy physical activity. So watch out- this could mean a hug, or wrestling on the living room floor. They really aren't into the homey decorations. So don't plan on their help picking out the curtains. The remote may not have a name on it, but they seem to think that it does. Make sure you tell them not to dry your clothes (bra, etc.) After you yell at them about it once, they don't generally forget. Good things about living with guys? Generally you can ask them to take the trash out and they will. They will probably shovel the driveway in exchange for cookies. Need a picture hung? They love hammers. Spiders?? Just scream...they come in a hurry. It's definitely an eye opening experience. So have fun with it!!

in many ways it's no different than a female roommate. two people have to have a set of agreements about money, housework, laundry, bathroom, etc. the agreements avoid a lot of arguing later. you also have to agree to talk about doing things before you do them for the same reason. above all for the thing to work , you must respect each other.
now the differences. guys don't have menstrual cycles and have a hard time appreciating how difficult they can be. guys don't worry about fashion, weight and related things so much as women. guys dress to make u happy. guys are defenders and fixers and oversimplifiers. these have good and bad sides. when u had a bad day at the office he'll try to fix it when you just need to have him listen and hold you and sound sympathetic. when a trusted friend you've known since 2nd grade, says you should be dating different men, your very own version of Sigmund Freud will explain it as long dormant deep seated jealousy of a doll house. when you go out to dinner at a nice restaurant, your waiter will treat you very nicely because there's a man at the table who will leave a good tip for good service or turn him into jello for poor service. there's good and bad sides to any relation. you both must work at making it work. be sympathetic. ask questions to learn and get the other talking. never underestimate the power of a hug, a kiss or something similar. these are reminders of why you're together. good luck

Depends on if the guy is the man of the house or if the woman is determined to play the part of the man by trying to be dominate or contentious.
Living together with a boyfriend quite often ends in a real mess by having children and then separating.
The next relationship is affected by the prior ones, "baggage" of past hurt and past dissappointments is carried into the next relationship.
There are many different kinds of guys and women so it depends on them. Did they talk about the serious issues of what is expected of eachother before marriage or living together? We tend not to REALLY meet the real person until a few weeks or months of living together. Even then if one does not talk, the other doesn not know what the problem is, If one does not listen, that is a problem too.
Marriage couseling from someone who knows is best b4 marriage or living together.
Living together unmarried is like building a house right on the edge of a sandy cliff. It may fail and crash because of the foundation.
Go visit some courts where you live and watch the divorce proceeding up close and talk to one of them after the divorce proceeding is over. They were so much "in love"before, then they got to the point of wanting each other dead maybe. Or maybe one of them turned out to be a real gold digging selfish B*tch or a violent selfish ****** man..
You can tell by my reply that I have been through some nighmares.

It takes some adjusting, but overall I like it. All guys are different so I can't really tell you what their habits are, but most likely when you find a guy and decide to move in with him he will have some annoying habits. He will also probably find something that you do that annoys him. For example, my boyfriend always eats snacks in bed. There's always empty bowls and spoons from ice cream under his nightstand. He also likes to munch on ritz crackers so he leaves cracker crumbs all over. An annoying thing that I do is hog all of the pillows in bed. It's just stupid stuff like that. We're pretty good at dividing chores up too, but if you were with someone who wasn't pulling their weight there could be problems.

Well, we like to take over the TV and watch sport. We like to be Kings of all we survey, i.e. be the boss. We leave the lavatory seat up. We leave the top off the toothpaste. We expect a hot meal however busy you may be. And we often leave dirty marks in our underpants.
That is the good side!
But if you train us right, we can learn to cook - surprise you with a nice meal when you come home from work. We can even be taught to run a vacuum cleaner over the house. Males have even been taught to do the washing up!
Two points from a wrinkly who has been thru it:-
1. Do you really wanna do this?
2. Then go for it... !
Good luck

It really depends on the guy. Some are very messy and leave stuff everywhere, then there are some that will pick up after themselves, and are complete clean freaks, every guy has their own little habit that they do that will annoy you or even make you mad. The best way to tell how it will be is to look at where they live now.

OMG girl don't do it! lol It really depends on the man! But it will give you some problems because when you get mad at him you can't just get up and go home, b/c you ARE home! And if he just gets up and walks out then that REALLY pisses you off! But their habits, the toilet seat being left up! They'll have to get use to that! Most men expect YOU to clean b/c you're the woman of the house. They are just a heck of a lot different then us! But there are some pros about living with your boyfriend. You feel safe, you're not lonely, and sex anytime!

It really depends on the guy, but honestly the differences will mostly be in you. The minute you live with a guy you care about you become aware of all the little things YOU do that you dont want him to see... Your secret habits or girly maintenances.
I know I started buying cute pajamas every night when I started living with a guy....

It's generally disgusting because men are usually filthy. Living with anyone with habits different than yours will end up driving you crazy. And the whole dynamic of the relationship changes. You will be with that person a whole lot more and their stuff mixes with yours stuff.
If you plan on having a serious relationship with someone, I think living with them is absolutely needed. But plan on adjusting yourself and the way you live.

DON"T DO IT!!! I live with a man and it is Sooooo annoying. They never clean up after themselves, they expect for you to be their mother, they leave rotten food and empty containers in the fridge, they don't clean up the hairs around the sink after they are done shaving, and of course they always forget to leave the toilet seat down!!! Also, when they are actually home, all they do is play video games. They complain if you ask them to do ANYTHING, and when they do finally get around to doing what you asked, they do it half assed so that you don't have them do it again!!! Trust me, you are better off living by yourself and just getting a dog.
