to 2007> Do you think people would be worshipping GOD? what religion would exsist? Judaism and ISLAM? many pagan beliefs?

Would people in history created a vision to the world that we would be believing today? Would of the Jewish people and Israel been able to survive? Would the majority of people just dismissed there was a GOD in heaven and scoffed at any religious matters?

IMHO We would of never survived much more than the ancient world if the Lord of All did not grace this planet

Thoughts?

Hi,

Good question. You should look at other parts of the world like Asia and the far east which continued on for centuries without contact from Christianity. Look at closed isolated societies like Borneo or China herself. They still had their rise and falls, good and evil leaders, golden times and dreadful wars and disease just like the western world.

The Romans and Greeks were ready to accept the idea of a single God. Had Christianity not come along, they probably would have eventually adopted Judaism. Considering how Judaism was already spreading to the south, it probably would have been large enough (not having to withstand the persecutions of the Christians) to withstand the armies of Islam and Islam would never have got going.

Instead of the Catholics and Protestants fighting it out, it may have been the Orthodox and Reform.

Also, considering how the Jews were always at the top in the way of education, the world probably would be more advanced than it is now.

You are forgetting to add the Constantine factor into your survivability calculation.

Without Constantine Christianity would have died long ago. I guess when I was a Christian I believed that God used him to spread the word, but that was because I didn't know anything about his life and actions at the time. I just assumed he sought God honestly and live out the rest of his life, trying to do God's will.

In reality, he was extremely violent, and used Christianity as a hammer. Knowing that now, I have a hard time believing that a loving God would be tied up in that mess. But reading the OT makes the theory of a loving God a hard one to accept.

Dyed your hair I see. Nice.

There are still many significant religions other than these.Islam, hinduism, buddhism wud dominate

Lol seeing ppl answers here is intersting. But many of ull have forgotten that had there been no Christanity, there wud have been no major religion in Europe.Whereas there were already several major religions thriving in the East and hence religions from that region would spread and dominate as well.

You don't think the world would survive without the NT?

judaism and islam would be the big ones, or maybe one you've never heard of, i think the world would be a little different, because people's actions HAVE been changed by your religion...but fundamentally different? people would still be doing what they do best....

I think the world would not have begun wasting energy and time on silly beliefs in that sort of hypothetical. NO easter bunny, no santa, no jesus, no catholic church. I would have suspected that the earth probably would have become a unified technological society half a millenium faster.

People, in general, tend to breed like rabbits. So how would we have been wiped out 2000 years ago?
