something along th elines of......

Today I marry my best friend and invite everyone to share in our joy. We ask that you take some pictures and help us remember the day and all our loved ones.

Go with something sweet and to the point and have somewhere to put them as they get full. My couzen had a box made up with cloth in her colors and it was pretty.

If you buy the cameras in sleeves for weddings they usually come with cards. I would suggest that route since the usual disposable cameras have a green or yellow bright wrapper. If you are going to just buy the camera that's not specially for weddings you could write something to the effect of "Use the camera on the table to take candid pictures of all our friends and family...the fun, the special moments, and of course those not-to-be-forgotten shots. Pass the camera around, let everyone enjoy the fun. When all the pictures are taken, just leave the camera on the table." You could also ask them to leave the camera in a basket by the door on the way out but then you run the risk of them forgetting and taking it with them.

I would not recommend the disposable camera idea. I had a friend that did that and she said out of ten cameras with 24 exposures each (240 total) she maybe got 3 good photos to keep. They were a complete waste of money. You have to buy the cameras and pay for developing too.
If you have a relative that usually takes a lot of pictures of everything (holiday events, birthdays, etc.) maybe ask them to take pictures and give you copies later. I have an aunt and a grandma that snaps shots for everything.

Cameras on the tables are usually not a good idea. mostly a waste of money buying all the cameras and then developing them. Most are wasteful pictures of nothing.
I would suggest though, as this is what I'm planning on doing for my reception, if you are allowing kids to attend. I am giving each child a camera with a to do list of things to take pictures of at the reception. this will give them something to do and keep them occupied. Then you can get your wedding event in the eyes of a child. Good luck in what you decide.

There was a card to put on the table in the packet of disposable cameras that I bought at wal-mart. I think most guests know what the cameras are there for. Good luck getting your guests to take pictures, though. Most of our guests did not take any pictures with the cameras.

FOR ADULTS ONLY, PLEASE!

Trust me. We wasted almost $50 developing our disposable cameras and when we got the photos back, there were only about ten photos of our friends. The rest were kids taking horrible shots of trees, the floor, people's feet, up their noses, etc. My mom was FURIOUS!!!

You don't need any instructions other than that, they will know what to do with them.

I had those at my wedding-I just had them leave a few at each table, they know what to do with them. By the way, the drunker people get, the crazier the pics get! We were laughing so hard after we got them developed. Good, crazy memories to have instead of the traditional ones. Have fun!

make sure to specify if they are to leave the cameras for you or take them for themselves. if possible put a relative or friend not in the bridal party in change of the cameras so that they all get collected and used..

You really dont have to put anything on the cards. I used those cameras at my wedding and they knew what to do with it without anyone having to tell them
