It sounds like a good idea but it would be impractical to introduce such legislation. I would like to see the driving age for these supercars raised to 25, and a compulsory 1-day handling course sponsored by the MANUFACTURERS.

Nice idea, but there's a huge flaw in it. People already have to pass a test to drive a car, and judging by the antics of some of them, they forget everything they've been taught pretty much straight away.
Actually, sports car drivers are usually among the better behaved out there, in my experience it's the tw@ts in ropey old Corsas and white vans that can't drive.

I think so, because they handle differently to usual cars. It is the same for 4x4's.
My brother has been driving for 25 years and has had lots of vehicles, sports and off road etc. he has a Maserati at the moment and even he say's that it is soooo powerful it was like driving from scratch the first time he took it out after rebuilding it.

He was man enough to say it was madness on wheels and he will be selling it on in the near future!

I agree-take advanced driving lessons, then the test.
You'll be amazed how much you learn.
I thought I was a good driver until I did the advanced lessons, and learned SO much.
ps-I DID pass.

NO A NORMAL LICENSE IS FINE BUT THE INSURANCE WILL BE SKY HIGH. IF YOU CAN AFFORD A SUPER SPORTS CAR, I'M SURE THE INSURANCE WONT BE A PROBLEM
