1. True
2. False
3. False
4. False.
5. Not exactly. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, but the Bible is just as important in knowing all the reaches of his ministry. Equal? I don't know about that.

Ok. Listen and learn. YOU stand CORRECTED. YOU ARE WRONG. The info you state is not correct. It comes from anti Mormon, bigoted sources that distort and exaggerate the facts. Now, it is up to YOU to change your own biased and bigoted paradigm against Mormons, because by the tone of your question AND subsequent responses, up to this point still suggest you cannot change or will not your bigotry. 1.God was not born an a planet in the Kolob star system. There is no specific revelation that states such. God DOES know ALL the NAMES of the stars in heaven, however. In the 147th chapter of Psalms it explains that. Verse 4 specifically. God knows their number and their names. God therefore, would certainly know the name of the star where he now dwells. And, that star's name is Kolob. 2. No, this is absolutely NOT correct. 3. YOU are the brother to Lucifer. We are all brothers of Lucifer. God created us all spiritually before being born to this earth. See Acts 17:29. AND, do the math, that makes us then ALL brothers and sisters. And, again if you have at least average reading comprehension, the Bible tells us that Christ is the Son of God. Sooooooo, if we are the offspring of God, and Christ is the Son of God, what does that make all of us...? Sons and daughters of God, brothers and sisters. Christ is our elder brother. We are each brothers and sisters. And, that would make Lucifer too our brother. he, however, lost his first estate and was thrust out of heaven as the Bible teaches. 4. No. That is not doctrine. When a male dies, he will receive blessings, AND importantly, as the BIble states, he will receive ALL that God hath. So, again you do the math. God reigns over the universe. AND if the righteous receive ALL that God has, we would receive a lot. We would NOT REPLACE God certainly as he is eternal and will always be God. See Matthew 25:34, Luke 12:42-46, Revelations 21:7 So, two points. You know have the info. Change your old incorrect paradigm, and 2) Read the Bible for once. Its ALL IN THERE.

Not exactly.
1) Regarding the Trinity, Mormons believe in the Trinity but have a slightly different view than other Christians. Mormons tend to read the New Testament more literally than other Christians when considering this question.
We believe in the divinity of the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost. We believe they are physically separate beings, but that they function in perfect harmony of will and purpose as one monotheistic unit, called the "Godhead," or, as Mormons often shorten it, just "God."
The difference between Mormons and other Christians is that other Christians technically believe that the three members of the Trinity are somehow simultaneously "one and three," but when they talk about the Trinity casually they typically speak of its three members as if they were separate beings. In casual speech Mormons speak the same way about the Trinity, except they actually do believe they are three separate beings (but one in purpose).
In the end, this slight difference in doctrine has virtually no theological consequences. To make a nerdy analogy, it doesn't matter whether you have three computer processors in one case, or three separate computers perfectly networked together. The power and function is the same. :)
2) We do believe that Christ is the son of God (He Himself said as much), but we do not believe God's other children are equal to Him. Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the First-born son of God, much greater than God's other sons. That is why we worship Him.
3) Mormons believe that God the Father created all things, so He created both Jesus (God the Son), Lucifer (Satan), and all mankind. Jesus and Lucifer are "brothers" in the sense that God the Father created both of them. It doesn't imply any special affinity or friendship between Jesus and Lucifer. Obviously, they are on opposite sides of the whole good/evil divide.
4) Mormons do not teach that husbands must call their wives to heaven. This is outright false.
5) Number five is correct. Mormons believe that both the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the records of God's words to ancient prophets.

1. We do believe God hte Father , Jesus Christ and The Holy Ghost are three Godly being working for the same Goal.
2. Jesus is the only "begotten" Son of God, (born by the power of the Holy Ghost), while we are the children, sons and daughters of God.
3. We are children of God, so you can say Satan, the fallen angel "was" once our brother in spirit.
4. Yes, also, man cannot be perfected without the woman.,
hUsband and wife needs each other.
5. The Book of Mormon is not the Bible. Both scriptures compliment each other. Both scriptures testify of the same Jesus Christ.
Ooops, sorry should have read the other LDS answer, they answered well.

1. No. While we do believe that they are one in purpose, we believe that they are separate and distinct as described at Christ's baptism (Jesus was baptised, the Holy Ghost appeared, and God spoke from Heaven). Luke 3:221-22
2. Yes, Jesus is the Son of God. We believe that we are also God's children as indicated in Romans 8:16 (The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.) We are not equal to Jesus. He is our Savior and has done something for us that we could not do for ourselves.
3. Jesus was the only begotten of God in the flesh, born of Mary. In this sense, no they are not brothers. However, since we believe that God is the Father of Heaven having created all things, they share the same creator. Lucifer was, after all, cast out of Heaven (Isaiah 14:12).
4. The bible teaches that neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man in the Lord (Hebrews 11:11). Neither is more important and both are necessary.
5. Proverbs (30:5) teaches that every word of God is pure. We believe that the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. The word of God is the word of God.

1. True: We do reject the belief that one creature acts as three puppets. Always hard for me to picture Jesus the Christ praying to Himself in the garden of Gethsemane...
This was not taught in the Bible and was not doctrine in the early church. Led by the Roman Catholic Church, it was voted on and barely passed at the Council of Nicaea 300 years after Christ's ascension.
2: True and False: Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, and we are all children of God. There is no child of God quite like Jesus!
3. True, but a technicality: Christ was God's first creation in Heaven. We believe that all angels and souls that we have were created by God, making us all children of God. So, *technically* that makes us all spiritual brothers and sisters with each other, angels, and those cast out of Heaven.
Most churches believe what the Bible says about this.
4. False. We believe nothing close to that. We are all responsible for our own sins. We will be judged individually according to our faith.
5. True. We believe both the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be records of prophets of God and messengers of the gospel of Jesus Christ on two continents.

I've been answering questions on Yahoo!Answers long enough to see many mistatements made about what Mormons believe. Frequently the questions are asked, many members of the Church answer, and then the person asking the question picks out one of the non-Mormon answers as the best answer. It is rare that a non-Mormon answers the question correctly.
There have been many answers given by Mormons here. Their answers are very good. Will you believe their answers? At any rate, I'll give you my answers.
1. What do you understand by the word "Trinity"? If you are thinking of the doctrine taught in the Bible, that God the Father is God, God the Son is God, and God the Holy Ghost is God, yet they are One God, then yes, Mormons believe in the Trinity as taught in the Bible. If you are thinking of man-made doctrines that were introduced in the 4th and 5th centuries, such as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are a single being, of a single essence, then no, we do not believe in any such false doctrines of the philosophies of men. There is a Divine Oneness in the Godhead, a spiritual unity and sharing of Divine attributes, power, and knowledge, but They are separate persons.
2. When Jesus taught us to pray He said, "Our Father in Heaven..." It wasn't "My Father in Heaven..." We are all sons and daughters of God. But we are not all equal. No two of us are equal. Mormon scriptures says the Jesus is greater than us all (Book of Abraham). Jesus is our Lord and Savior. No one else comes close to Him. Jesus is our Redeemer, our Advocate with the Father. Jesus died to save us from our sins. No one else did. Jesus is the Only Begotten of the Father.
3. Satan and Jesus are not brothers in terms of being similar in glory, honor, goodness, perfection, grace, for any godly attribute. I certainly wouldn't call you the brother of Hitler, or Stalin, or any really wicked man. But in a sense we are all brothers and sisters. We were created in the image of God. Jesus says that we share a common Father in Heaven. We believe that Satan also was created spiritually, just as you and I were, but Satan rebelled against God and will not be born on earth. In a way Satan and Jesus are at opposite poles, yet we must believe that at one time they both could call God "Father."
4. It is not necessary for women to be called by their husbands in order to get into heaven. Women don't need to be married in order to go to heaven. Possibly this untrue statement comes from some garbled accounts of the resurrection, where a man may be privileged to bring forth his wife. But no, husbands do NOT call their wives in order for the wife to enter heaven.
5. Well, the Bible is longer than the Book of Mormon, and beats it in that regard. The Bible talks a lot more about Adam and Eve and early people. The Bible has much more detail on the earthly ministry of Jesus than the Book of Mormon. But yes, the Bible and the Book of Mormon are part of the unity of scriptures, and we do not believe the Book of Mormon is inferior to the part of scripture given by the Bible.

1 - We believe in the Godhead - God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ [also a God], and the Holy Ghost. These are three seperate personages.
2 - Jesus Christ is God's Only Begotten Son in the flesh. We are all God's spirit children [brothers & sisters]. No one was equal to Jesus Christ in the pre-existence or the mortal existence. Only He could be the Savior of us all.
3 - Satan, or Lucifer was another spirit son of God -- [so, yes, he's not only a spirit brother to Jesus Christ but us as well]. Because he rebelled against God, he was cast out of God's presence and was not able to come to earth to participate in mortality and receive the benefits of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
4 - No. Period.
5 - The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. The Old and New Testaments profecy and witness of the Divine Nature and Mission of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon does the same -- detailing the dealings of God with a people here on the American continent, just as the Bible details the dealings of God with ancient Israel.
Thanks for asking, Merry Christmas

1. sort of. We do believe in God the father, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We believe they are three beings with one purpose. It actually wasn't until the Nicene Creed that the trinity was considered a Christian doctrine.
2. Wrong. Jesus is the only begotten in the flesh son of God. All of us are spirit children of God. Jesus is the only Saviour. Of course no one else is equal to Him. We can only be saved through Him.
3. As I said, we are all spirit children of God. That would make Satan and Jesus spirit brothers.
4. No. We actually don't even believe in the typical heaven/hell scenario. We believe the majority of people (like 99.999999%) will receive some degree of glory. The only ones who will go to hell (which we call eternal darkness) will be ones who had a first hand knowledge of God or Christ and refused to believe.
5. Not exactly. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Christ. Both are important and essential to our religion. You could not have our religion without both. So in that sense, yes they are equal.
EDIT: Papucho, we actually read the KJV.

Good questions.
1. Don't believe in Trinity
-We believe in God, the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. We believe that they are one in purpose and not in essense.
2. Believe that Jesus is just one son of God and there are other sons equal to Him
We believe that God the Father created many, many spirits before the Earth was created. Jesus Christ was the first spirit created. However, physically, Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. So there are no equals to Him
3. That satan and Jesus are brothers
Satan was one of the spirits mentioned in 2, so spiritually yes both are spiritual sons of God the Father, just like you and me.
4. Believe that husbands must call their wives to heaven or they don't go
No. If the husband is worthy, he will call his wife (he won't choose not to if he's worthy) If he isn't worthy, someone else will call her. Men also have to be "called" by their fathers, or other men who are worthy. And it's to be resurrected, not to go to heaven
5. That the Book of Mormon is equal to the Bible.
Yes. Both are the words of God.

1. yes, 3 seperate beings
2. Jesus is the first born and the only begotten of the flesh. He was given the authority to create the earth thru the priesthood authority of God. He is our savior and because of that he will never be equal to any of us because we cant ever repay him for what he has done.
3. We are all brothers and sisters
4. Husbands and wives need each other to attain the highest degree of heaven. It isnt onesided. Eternal marriage is essential to receive all the rewards because there isnt eternal increase without it. Husbands dont call their wives. They are equal partners together. A man cant attain the highest degree without his wife, either.
5. The Book of Mormon and the Bible are both scriptures written by prophets of God, just in different parts of the world.
