I am trying to put together my centerpieces because the material i have is seasonal, or limited I need to order it all now. while it is still in stock.

However i don't have my R.S.V.P back yet so I really do not know how many people are attending we are assuming about 50 people but really are not sure.

is it ok for some tables to go without centerpieces.

Of course, since you're just inviting a fraternity to the place to get drunk and act like hooligans... Or is this the charity event were you drive around picking up street bums and giving them a formal dinner? Or perhaps the CEO of some Fortune 500 company is hosting the event to make a big announcement about some restructuring?

It rather depends on what the event is... The less formal, the less important the centerpieces become.

Give it your best guess. It is not the end of the world if some do not have centerpieces. Another possibility is to make some scaled down or simpler ones if you need to.

Have a lovely special event(?) and remember to enjoy it too.

I suppose you could ditch centerpieces except at the head table. Have some really good food, and nobody will notice how the table is decorated.

If you do not have enough centerpieces you can always make or purchase something that would coordinate with what you already have. It's not necessary that all things match perfectly and I'm sure you could come up with acceptable additions if you come up short.

I'm gonna guess this is for your wedding?

YES it's fine. When you have the final layout try to scatter the center pieces so the room still looks decorated properly.

Congratulations!
