We have weekly prayer group meetings, and we are currently using this book called 'When Heaven Invades Earth- A practical Guide to a life of Miracels- Jack Taylor & Randy Clark'. Apparently all stories written in this book are based on true events.

-Resurrection in Africa-
Pastor Surprise is an apostolic leader working with Rolland and Heidi Baker of Iris Ministries in Mozambique. Buring an evangelistic crusade in which he was preaching, a 9 year old girl died, which threatened to end the series of meetings. The entire village was stricken with grief.
The next day Pastor Surprise went to visit the family, and the child's body was still in the hut where where she had died the night before. As he was praying for the family, he happened to be holding the little girl's hand. He was not praying for her to rise from the dead, yet after a few minutes the girl squeezed his hand. She was raised 12 hours after her death because someone was full of the Holy Spirit.

Eye roll. More proof that believing in one absurdity can lead to believing in any absurdity.

In Aug. 1977 a film came out in the theaters called "Life After Death". It was about people that had died and been bought back to life. From any why, even from doctors. All but the ones that killed themselves when to a nice waiting area for when Jesus returns or some floated out of the body but didn't get all the way because they were brought back sooner. The ones that tried to kill themselves went strait to a hell like environment. They said, I think it was, eight million in the U.S. has experienced this. Any way I divided it up to be 1/32 to 1/33 people experience this sometime in their life. Other films/studies have come out since.
The reason I went is it had happened to me in 1976. I did not know what had happened and a neighbor and a nurse told me. So I wanted to find out if this film agreed. It did. I don't think my sole got more than 12 feet away. I watched the rescue squad rescue me and take me to the hospital, where I was brought back at. So I will say it can happen. We just don't hear about them much.

Many people do not know the meaning of the phrases "dead ringer" and "saved by the bell". The history of it relates directly to this question.
Going back as far as man has been around, there has been a rare condition which caused the body to go into a death-like state. It seemed that the body stopped breathing and the heart seemed to stop beating. The Wake is a byproduct of this condition, which was more predominant that it is now.
When immediate burials became the norm, they would tie a string to the wrist of the "deceased" and run it from the them, out of the coffin and attach the end to a bell that would ring if they woke up. Someone would stand watch for 3 days near the bell in the event that they woke up and were, in fact, not dead. This is where those phrases as well as "graveyard shift" came from.
It is most likely, in that story of the girl in Africa, that she suffered from that particular condition, but without proper medical personnel who were able to diagnose the condition, it was assumed that she was dead, when in fact she was in a short term coma of sorts.

because of the fact 'eternal existence' isn't the ending of the forged human beings after dying. The bible says that's eternal existence: John 17:3 Now that's eternal existence: that they could understand you, the only genuine God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. From dirt to dirt is the way forward for the flesh. not the spirit. Jesus existence on earth replaced into to, partly, adventure what guy stories. that includes the soreness of dying. Mankind isn't inspired with He who has the means over the spirit. that's the reason the resurrection of the flesh replaced into shown - so as that guy might understand Gods means. God many times makes use of the actual worldwide to attempt to describe the religious realm. Marriage, existence, and dying are some examples of this.

It's pure garbage. Where are the people who can substantiate the supposed miracles of the church? These things would be front page news and the television would be about nothing else.
This is pure garbage exuded by a powerless, Torah-less church. It's sickening to hear these ridiculous claims.
Our God is all-powerful, but He will not work through false religious systems.

Surprisingly death is highly subjective and without a trained professional it is hard to tell if she was actually and completely dead.
I'd say that this story either this was not true or that the people were mistaken about the nature of her state.

I had not heard of it until you mentioned it; it's nonsense of course. If the child were "resurrected," it was because she was never really dead. What I mean is that she may have been in a coma and was then revived, but I can assure you it was not the doing of the pastor.

You would think that this would be the most important news story in the history of mankind, and would supercede all programming on every radio and TV in the world, wouldn't you?
At least CBN might carry a blurb about it, at least?
Seeing as how that didn't happen... do you think the news media wants to cover it up?
Or do you think it's more likely that the entire story is bull ****?
