well this girl has really shown some signs she liked me and she never does this to anyone else, shes one of my bestfriends and i care about her so much and she cares about me alot. i do so much for her and i told her i liked her and i said sorry and she said "dont be!" and smiled. a few days passed and she made out with some guy shes 16 im 17 btw. i asked if i should still even try and she sed idk and i said well i want to know and she said she'd rather be friends. we always got in fights then she came around and she really seemed like she fell for me but then i got her an early christmas present and she just told me she would never feel that way about me and just wanted to be friends and that she cares about me alot. how can i change her mind? i really can't let her go she's the perfect girl. have any of you girl or boy on either end been in something like this? how did it work out, if good how did you handle it? thanks

I'm a girl, 15, and I've been through this...
It felt like it was never going to end, we met every day and I looked at him and thought that I was never going to get him, because he liked everyone but me. Every week he would change to a new girl, and every week he spoke to me less, because he was sorry that he didn't like me (he told me).
How I ended this mess: I forgot about ever liking him, and just became, best friends. I was there for him every day, I helped him get through all his heartbreaks, I helped him get the girls (no way otherwise), and seemed helpful, but none of his relatioships turned out good because the girls were always jealous of me, but didn't want to say it to him, because we were really good friends.
Until a girl came along that wasn't scared of telling him this. She convinced him I was just a s*** and she swiped him away from me. She was one of those that wears pink and verbally abuses anyone who gets any grade higher than a B as a nerd and if they had less than 10 friends, she would make them want to commit suicide. I was one of those people, "nerds" and "introverted". After each date, she would torment me telling me what they did, then she would verbally abuse me through IM. I didn't say anything mean though, I just talked about how I wished he was still my friend, and she would still tell me how much she hated me, how much of a s*** I was, etc...
In front of him she was nice to me, like a friend, and so I couldn't say anything to my friend...
But I kept all our message history. After they were going out 2 months, and I was turning out to be my best friend's enemy, I finally printed our conversations of her verbally abusing me and me acting like a poor victim, not fighting back up to points where she would explode with nasty stuff...
I laughed, because I knew she was helping me.
When I showed him the message history, he broke up with her, but then, he said that he loved her so he tried to get back together with her. She rejected him and he didn't want to speak to anyone after that. I helped him at that point, and then, when he understood how much I had done for him, he apologized and asked me to be his girlfriend.
But maybe it was just my luck...
Just be there for her, and help her out, and forget all the love and like stuff.

I think it is really sweet that you like this girl that much. Sometimes though when you are as good as friends as you say you are...it is just better to be friends. My best friend used to like me too. He is now happily married to someone else, and so am I, the good thing is that even though we went through what we did, we have stayed friends. This girl may just not want to ruin the relationship you two have. You will NOT be able to change her mind...no matter what you do. Be patient, there are plenty of girls out there that will like you, and just maybe one day she could change her mind, but let that be her choice. Dont be pushy about this to her, and dont go out of your way for her, that will only push her away faster. Be friends for now, and stay close. Dont ruin your friendship over what you think could be more. By the way...how old are you. If you are young , you have plenty of time...dont waste it okay...Stay Happy. And Good Luck to you!!!!

You can't make her want you like that, hon, sorry. Maybe she is just scared of ruining the friendship, or maybe she just really does feel that way. You are also young and maybe she just knows in her heart she isn't ready Continue to be her friend and it is possible once she is done playing the field she will come around.
My boyfriend and I met 7 years before we ever dated.

as an old rolling song once said, you can,t always have
what you want. she told you upfront there is no chance
of you becoming boyfriend, girlfriend, so find another
girl.
you will only frustrate and hurt yourself if you stay involved with
her. even when you got her an early x=mas present she told
you she would never feel that way about you. drop her
and move on. you will be glad you did.

Just be there for her. Let her know that you'll always be her friend no matter what. If it's meant to be together, it will happen. In the meantime, just enjoy her company, her friendship, and hope that she'll appreciate that.

yea this happened to me all i did was invited her over like always threw on a movies sat next to her and after a minute went in for a kiss it worked for me now im married to her
