Idol gods. A structure or object, that is used by people,
and seen as a deity, or image of high value. Like the
golden calf, that is talked about, in the Bible. Or some
even use statues, and trees. And animals, too. If you
can believe that one. I wonder if anyone has ever like
tried to convert you to do such a horrific thing. Have they ?
If so, then please give us your story. We would love to
hear this one. And if you have a good one, then you will
win best answer. This is the question. Are Atheists,
offended by those who serve "idol gods" ? ~~~

I'm not offended by anyone because of what they worship. I'm offended by people who think they are better than me because they have "faith" and I don't or try to push their beliefs on me.

Why would an atheist be offended? I'm an atheist and I pretty much think that anyone who believes in any kind of god or deity is silly. But offended? What's to be offended by?

As far as I can think of, no one has ever tried to convert me to any belief that worships an idol god.

Unless you count Jesus as an idol god, since his image on the cross is hanging everywhere and worshiped by people. Does that count? If it does, then I still have never really had anyone make an official attempt to convert me. but I have had many people talk to me about it and debate with me that Jesus is really God and all that.

Offended is not the word. I'm confused. I don't understand why anyone willfully refuses to see the world as it is. It turns out that the truth is far grander, stranger, and more beautiful than any of the dull fairytales from religion.

I think you'll find that athesists see no relevance to the "idol gods" part of your questions. To an atheist, there is no difference between the golden calf, Santa Claus, and the Judeo-Christian god.

i assume this is because of the fact there are greater of believers than atheists. So proper of the could i assume. in my opinion, i've got faith you are able to not at all beat faith by using preaching atheism and vice versa. the two are useful and the two matched for too many reasons to checklist right here. I additionally think of 'Messianic Atheist' isn't apt. in spite of everything, messiah ability 'Anointed' in Hebrew and has particular non secular connotations as that's at the instant used so would not make experience.

I'm not offended by anyone worshiping anything. In fact I can't recall the last time anything offended me. Unless of course we're including offensive smells.

I would probably have other feelings about them trying to push their beliefs on me but it would more likely be annoyance or anger depending n how hard they're pushing.

Not usually offended by this kind of thing, because people who worship idols aren't generally trying to put legislation through making it compulsory to be taught in schools.

No more so than I am offended by people who worship any other god.

I personally am not offended by the beliefs of others. I am offended by arrogance. I am offended when others assume they know what is best for me and try to shove it down my throat.

People need something to believe in. We all find our solace somewhere.

Why would an atheist be offended by it? I actually feel pity for anyone who worships any god because there is no god. They are just waisting their time and not living their life the way they want to.

I'm not offended by faith. It's usually the faithful that offend me... and I offend back. Never had issues with someone worshiping an idol.

I don't care who you serve! If worshiping makes you a better individual then go for it! I care that people are nice to one another! Too often religion gets in the way of that! How many wars do we have to fight in the name of religion before we figure it out! As for myself I don't believe all that nonsense! I don't care what others may think of me....they don't have to live with my choices, I do!
