The Eternal began teaching mankind the future that He had in store for them from the beginning of his creation of the Earth and all that surrounds it. The Father gave to mankind an accounting of His creation.

We must ask ourselves, who put the act of creation, the genealogies, and the lives of the people of Genesis into the words that we read today in the Scriptures? Was it handed down from the first man Adam through the generations, passed to Noach and his sons? If we think logically about these questions we realize that the words we read in Genesis are ancient, and that the account of the creation of the heavens and earth is not a story conceived many years after the death of those who lived during that time. The Eternal gave Adam and his offspring the creation information. He gave them precise and detailed information so that they would understand that they and those who came after them would know the Father and His awesome abilities. Adam and those that followed kept track of genealogy and longevity using the timing given to them by the Eternal.

Genesis 1:14-19

14And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, 15and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it came to be so. 16And Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars. 17And Elohim set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18and to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And Elohim saw that it was good. 19And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the fourth day.

Genesis 5:1-10

This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that Elohim created man, He made him in the likeness of Elohim. 2Male and female He created them, and He blessed them, and called their name ‘Adam’ in the day they were created. 3And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and brought forth a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Sheth. 4And after he brought forth Sheth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years. And he brought forth sons and daughters. 5So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died. 6And Sheth lived one hundred and five years, and brought forth Enosh. 7And after he brought forth Enosh, Sheth lived eight hundred and seven years, and brought forth sons and daughters. 8So all the days of Sheth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died. 9And Enosh lived ninety years, and brought forth Qeynan. 10And after he brought forth Qeynan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and brought forth sons and daughters.

The Eternal gave mankind the moon and sun so they could reckon days, months, and years. Obviously the people used this set pattern that the Almighty gave them to determine the days of their lives. They used the only pattern they knew, which is the pattern given in the creation account.

Genesis 2:1-3

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array. 2And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. 3And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made.

The Eternal provided mankind a physical understanding of His plans for them when he gave them their example to follow, which is to work six days and rest on the seventh day.

Whether lost or buried the Sabbath (day of rest) was reintroduced to mankind by the chosen people of the Almighty, the Hebrews.

Exodus 16:4-5

4And YHWH said to Mosheh, “See, I am raining bread from the heavens for you. And the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, in order to try them, whether they walk in My Torah or not. 5“And it shall be on the sixth day that they shall prepare what they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”

Exodus 16:26-30

26“Gather it six days, but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, there is none.” 27And it came to be that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. 28And YHWH said to Mosheh, “How long shall you refuse to guard My commands and My Torot? 29“See, because YHWH has given you the Sabbath, therefore He is giving you bread for two days on the sixth day. Let each one stay in his place, do not let anyone go out of his place on the seventh day.” 30So the people rested on the seventh day.

Here we see the reestablishment of the Sabbath Command, which had been forgotten or laid aside by mankind. A command that when kept by the Hebrew people set them apart from the rest of the world.

There are some who proclaim a different way of determining the weeks and months. Those who go against the continuous seven-day cycle that was given to mankind at creation. We have only to look to the counting to Pentecost to see the mistake that is made by these well-intentioned people.

Leviticus 23:15-16

15‘And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths. 16‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to YHWH.

We do not need to be mathematicians to figure out that the counting to Pentecost involves counting seven, seven-day cycles. This is a continuous counting of seven-day periods; the same counting that was given to mankind at creation.

The majority of our modern world uses a continuous seven-day week calendar. You would be hard pressed to find a nation that doesn’t. Ancient Rome used an eight-day calendar for some time; we see that this was short lived.

The spiritual reality of the physical observance

The Eternal Creator has given mankind physical observances that point towards future realities. The reality of the seven-day week is to show mankind that it has six days (periods of time) to toil upon the earth and then there shall be a seventh day in which mankind will be relieved of this toil. At the end of this time will come perfection or completion.

When we relate this to the Eternals reckoning of time we see that a thousand years can be like one of our days to the Eternal.

Psalm 90:1-4

YHWH, You have been our refuge In all generations. 2Before the mountains were born, Or You had brought forth the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting You are El. 3You turn man back to dust, And say, “Return, O children of men.” 4For a thousand years in Your eyes Are like yesterday that has past, Or like a watch in the night.

Understanding this we can understand that mankind has been given six periods of time (six thousand years) to come to the understanding of the Truth.

Then the Father shall send Messiah Yah’shua to bring shalom to the earth for a thousand years (the Sabbath). The binding up of the adversary (sin) for this final period, which will be upon mankind soon will usher in a time of unprecedented understanding and shalom. After this seventh period comes the eighth period which is the time of judgment of mankind (the last great day). All will be judged by their acceptance or lack of acceptance of the Torah of the Father.

Conclusion:

The seven-day week and the seventh day Sabbath were given to mankind by the Eternal. This keeping track of time, and the day of rest were never done away with by the Father. Mankind in his selfishness almost certainly buried the Sabbath command because it reminded them that there is a creator of all, and that man is not in control of the world in which he lives. The first six periods are more than likely almost over; the seventh period of time will soon be upon mankind.

Messiah Yahshua did not do away with the Sabbath command; he knows that all of the Fathers days of physical observance point to spiritual realities. Doing away with such a command would effectively destroy the plans that the Almighty has taught mankind since his creation. We would have to ask ourselves why the Eternal would do such a thing? What possible reason would He have to create a master plan, knowing what the outcome would be, and then destroy it near the end of its completion? This makes no sense; only a continuous plan of creation is conceivable and understandable.

No one that the Father has sent has done away with His Laws and Commands. None of His servants, prophets, or Messiah himself has even vaguely hinted that they were against the Eternals laws or Commands, or that they were done away, changed, or replaced. If we see inference of this in articles, sermons, Scripture, etc. We are obliged to search out the Truth of the matter.

This is a time of testing, accept the Torah (Laws and Commands) of the Almighty, or do not. Since the first man and woman were created, the choice has been given to us, the choice to obey or disobey.

The sabbath commandment in the NT.

And HE *Jesus* said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath,
Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. *mark2:27,28

And HE *Jesus* said; That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. luke 6:5

Jesus said; For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. matt.12:8

As you can see this is repeated three times in the gospels, it would not be recorded even once, much less three times, if the the seventh day sabbath was done away with, please do not follow the traditions of men, but rather the traditions of God.

Jesus taught on the sabbath day,

And they; Jesus,Simon,Andrew,James, and James's brother John; went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day He entered into the synagogue, and taught. mark 1:21

And when the sabbath day was come, He *Jesus* began to teach in the synagogue: mark6:2

What was Jesus's custom or habbit;

And He *Jesus* came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and as His CUSTOM was, He went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. luke 4:16 Have you ever thought about what did Jesus read, it wasn't the new testament since it wasn't written yet, but He read from the old. Isn't that strange since so many believe the old is done away with. just a thought.

Since Jesus's custom was teaching on the sabbath, it is nice to see what was the custom after Jesus's death, Paul's custom;

And Paul as his manner *custom* was went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.
Paul as Jesus did taught on the sabbath day and read out of the scriptures. Acts 17:2 What scriptures? why the old testament ofcourse, the new hasn't been written. And this is after Jesus's death, when the tradition of men say that the law was done away with.

And He *Jesus* was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. luke 13:10

Now there was a good man named Joseph who came to begged the body of Jesus *after His death* and women also which came with Joseph from Galilee , And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and RESTED the Sabbath day ACCORDING TO THE CAMMANDMENT. luke 23:50-56
After Jesus's death wasn't the commandments done away, no not at all, done away with the commandments is the traditions of men, not at all the truth of God.

But when they *Paul and his company* departed from Perga, they came to Antiock in Pisidia and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. and after reading the law and the prophets,,,acts 13:14-15
What law , what prophets? Why the law and prophets of the old testament, and this was well after Jesus's death. No my friend doing away with the commandments of God is indeed a tradition of men, not the word of God.

And he *Paul* reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. acts 18:4
Every sabbath? After Jesus's death? after the law is done away with? No my friend Paul will do no traditions of men, but only the will of God.

We all must remember what is the LOVE of GOD the ALMIGHTY CREATETOR of all things.

By this we know that we love the children of God when we love God, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.1john 5:2
FOR THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS; and His commandments are not grievous.1john 5:3

And what did James, the brother of Jesus say to us today,

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point he is quilty of all, For he that said , DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY,said also, DO NOT KILL, Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. james 2:10-11

And Jesus said this in very much the same way;
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time,Thou Shalt Not Kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment; But i say unto you, That who soever is angry with his brother without a cause shallbe in danger of the judgment; matt.5:21-22 same commandment, just now it is within our thinking not just our doing.
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery: But I say unto you that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. matt.5:27-28 same law just now it is with the way we think not just the things we do.

Does a wise man really believe that James and Jesus and Paul would really need to list all ten of the commandments for us to believe the ten still pertains today?
After all we are told many times in the new testament to KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, we all should no what the commandments of God are. They are already listed in full twice in the old testament.
If one locks his hands together in prayer, that is how the old and new go together, hand in hand.
Remember also what did Jesus say firmly;
For VERILY I say unto you, Till Heaven and Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. matt.5:18 we know He is talking about the commandments because He says so in verse 19--- Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

All is not fulfilled Jesus said so, till Heaven and Earht pass. This heaven and this earth has not passed and will not pass until God Himself comes to this earth and makes it new to be with men.
And I John saw a NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH ; for the first heaven and the first earth were PASSED AWAY; AND THERE WAS NO MORE SEA.
And I John saw the holy city new jerusalem, coming Down from God out of Heaven,
And i heard a great voice out of heaven saying Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them and they shall be His people and God Himself shall be with them and be thier God.
And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things NEW. rev. 21:1-5

May the Love of my Father in heaven open the eyes and ears of understanding to all that read His truth.

What you ought to comprehend is that Saturday is actual the 6th day and Sunday is actual the seventh day. Scriptural expenditures: Matthew 18:18 gave Christ's Church potential to % issues in the international. John 20:21 exhibits that Christ rose the day after Saturday so as a replace of following a Jewish custom that, like different Jewish customs, Christ pronounced that we've been no longer absolute to, we merely moved the Sabbath to the day that Christ rose from the ineffective. bear in strategies that Christ is Lord of the Sabbath (Matthew 12:8) and that the Sabbath isn't in can charge of Christ. Christ, in Matthew sixteen:18-19 gave the keys of the dominion of heaven to Peter subsequently Peter, and down by all the Popes can substitute the day. Adventists declare that that's an undefensible errors interior the Roman Catholic Church even though it quite for sure isn't. i might desire to "write a e book" in this occasion yet I won't because of the fact i think of that with those very few of the various Scriptural motives, i think of which you presently comprehend that the Catholic Church teaches from the fact and subsequently can by no ability be shown incorrect, thank you, I have been hoping that somebody might ask this question. Proud to be Roman Catholic! Matthew sixteen:18-19 2,000 years of Christian custom! 2 Thessalonians 2:15; Luke a million:a million-4; etc........ P.S. did you realize that Martin Luther replaced the ten Commandments while he broke faraway from the two,000 3 hundred and sixty 5 days-previous Roman Catholic Church. Did you besides might hear approximately an Adventist pastor who became Roman Catholic at present because of this question with regard to the Sabbath and the incorrectness of Luther's substitute of the ten Commandments.

Actually the only commandment to the Sabbat was to keep it Holy.

The Old Testament set the 7th day, not Jesus: It was man not God that called Saturday the 7th day. And that you may toil and labor for 6 days and rest on the 7th. But any day of the week could be the 7th based on when you started working the 6 days. The Hebrews were the ones that determined their week began Sunday, (therefore ending Saturday). My work week starts Monday, someone elses might start wednesday, making them have to work on the Sabbat which is why their was no commandment for a particularly day of the week, just every 7th day.

The Apostles considered every 7th day Sunday since they were commemorating the day they discovered the resurrection and Jesus overcame death. Which is why Sunday is called The Lord's Day and not the Sabbat as in the Old Testament.

Please provide the Scriptural reference where Jesus and / or the apostles commanded Christians to keep the ten commandments.

You won't find it.

The commandments of God are shown by Paul to be the spirit of the law, and not the letter, as found in Romans 7. So the letter of the law regarding the sabbath is immaterial.

Jesus told to the pharisees that the great commandment was Loving God above all and loving thy neighbor, in those commandments are included all the rest.So the Christian Sunday is indeed a sabbath.

You had better belive that it is. The Sabbath refers to only one day, and that is the seventh day. All other days are referred to by a number, such as day one, or day five. Only Shabat, or the Sabbath has a name.

Christians are living a false reality when they think that Shabat is SUN-day. I guess we'll be warring with the pagans until the very end. Paul kept the seventh day, as did all of the disciples of Yeshua. The modern church has designed their own religion that has nothing, whatsoever, to do with scripture.

The wide road is wide enough to accomodate them all. Find that narrow path and leave the false teaching of the church on the wide path where it belongs.

Yes, it's the 4th commandment. The one that starts with the word "Remember", which I always found a bit telling.

"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days."
Colossians 2:16

Of COURSE IT'S NOT!!!

"And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight."
Acts 20:7

They worshipped on the FIRST day of the week to commemorate the Lord's Day.
