For those who believe in global warming:
Do you think this was a direct result of humans or something that would have happened anyway?

I look forward to your answers :)

Believe it or not many Christians are believing in Global Warming and condem those who will pollute the earth, but for different reason than perhaps those who do not believe in God.

God did not place us here to destroy the Earth but to have dominion over it.
God created it and we are destroying it.
This actually goes in hand with the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics saying that all things tend to deacy, (Not Evolve)

But we are not concerned about it actually being destryed as God will Restore it, even so..with the Verse in the Bible that I am Giving you does not Give man the right to desecrate His creation.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Now..I don't know if Al Gore has exaggerated his film and evidence to further the cause of the left agenda or not, But I do know this. Global warming is happening and we are the cause and it must be stopped, we must stop using Fossil Fuels and have the Big Auto makers and Oil Tycoons release the technologies that can make a 400 cubic inch engine get 100 MPG .

also, the internal combustion engine is obsolete and has been for over 50 years, time to develope a new engine, However , I think it already has, But the Tech is being kept away and protected by the Opec nations and Big Auto makers, it's is time to force them to release it.

Global warming is not a religious issue. Different playing fields.

Global warming is a political device being used by some politicians and lobbyists to further the environmental agenda. Not saying that is entirely bad, but that is what is happening. Look at the global warming leader.......Al Gore. Shouldn't it be our scientists?

If you really think the average temperature of the earth is CONSTANT over hundreds of years, you are not thinking realistically. They say the earth has "warmed" less than a degree in the last hundred years. Do you think the accuracy between today's thermometers and those of 100 years ago can be compared? Get real. The margin of error in that calculation is more than one degree, which is GREATER than the "alleged warming." Therefore, it is inconclusive as to whether or not the earth is warming. Even if it is, in the 4.6 billion years of earth history, again, do you think the temp was constant? The average world temp fluctuates like a sine wave, up and down, over long periods of time. Man's contributions would be insignificant compared to mother natures. Also remember, after the ice age, the earth "warmed" without the help/interference of Man.

It's true that climate change is part of the natural cycle of the environment. But the amount of warming we've experienced just since the industrial revolution (coincidentally enough) is roughly double that of anything that's taken place naturally in millions of years.
I find it laughable that people casually dismiss what's happening as a natural event when we've been pumping millions of tons of chemical filth into the sky over the past 100 years. It's exactly like 15-20 years ago when politicians who had their pockets lined with tobacco company money were out publicly proclaiming that there's no connection between smoking and lung cancer. It's absurd.

The exact causes of Global Warming are not fully know and I don't think they ever will be there are many many things that can contribute to it. I think humans are doing more polluting than warming. Though we are a factor. It was much warmer in the past and it was much colder in the past. that is a proved fact. What causes that I do not know. I wish I did. Theories range from volcanoes to the sun's out put, to farting Dinos.

My Faith tells me to be a good steward to the earth and I try to do my best.. I'm sure I could do better. I think it is with in our power to help out the cause but if it is beyond us I'm not sure what we will do.

Although this level of warming has occurred in history; the speed at which it has occurred is unprecedented, and certainly a result of human activity.

Global changes take thousands, if not millions of years...until now. Yet we see significant changes in the past 50 years... even the past 10 years.

Not just human activity, but irresponsible and blatant activity.

Jenae,
I believe that global warming is a direct result of human intervention on our world by over and mis-use of our natural resources. Have a great weekend and a super Holiday with your family and friends.
Thanks,

Direct result of humans. Although natural climate change is to be expected, the best explanation for the rapid climate changes we are currently experiencing is that human actions have affected the Earth's climate-controlling feedback systems

A combination thereof.

I don't think that the temperature is fixed and not allowed to fluctuate for years or decades at a time. But I also don't believe that what humans put into the earth and air has no effect.

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop, really. The one that forces us to do something, rather than debate.

I even have seen the interview, its marvelous, you spot the actual element of michael and he's sooo cute and that smile mmm the interview makes me soften and cry oh after which there have been tabloid lies that MJ replaced into mendacity to oprah and that she went directly to assert she did not have faith him and desire she in no way interviewed him cuz not long in a while that jordan chandler turd pressed quotes yet thats all TABLOID rubbish pay attention to Tabloid junkie, its stunning :D definite i like that interview and its considered one of his ultimate ones like the chamber, bubbles, the king of dad questions and rumors they are placed to take a seat down back while he says its all pretend i propose does he honestly seem as though somebody who might call for to be referred to as the "king of dad?" at MTV? and there is even the bit with elizabeth taylor calling him "the king of dad" and he felt so embarrassed like he did not deserve it cuz he popular liz a lot and her asserting that replaced into an honor yet no human beings take the certainty and twist it around even after considering that pictures oh and what makes me cry each and every time is while (not in this interview) while michael might say he many times slept on the floor so the youngsters could have his mattress, its so loving and the worldwide grew to become it into some thing disgusting and perverse

I don't know that much about the situation to make an educated guess. I try not to blindly follow whatever anyone says about what the cause is. Lessening our impact on the environment is a good idea, anyway, though.
