I work part-time at the mall and I have a crush on one of the many managers at the store. He works in the department next to me and he is always teasing me whenever he sees me. I will be leaving the company soon because I need to start working as a Pharmacist Technician so that they can pay for my school. Yea, so I will be leaving in about a month! What should I do? I'm really awkward sometimes. And he ALWAYS finds a way to talk to me. I never seen him do that with the other people and he looks at me sometimes. Sooooo.... help?

Drop the hint that you're leaving and when.

Give him a x-mas card.

If possible, casually ask if he wants to have lunch. Don't call it a date...you're just two co-works meeting for lunch. That way there is no pressure. Casually ask what he's doing for the holidays...this should be the time when you find out if he's available. If all goes well, and he's not with anyone, mention that it'd be nice to hook up for dinner (or whatever) around the holidays...since you're both single.

Good luck.

Tell him you would like to stay in contact with him. See what he says back to you. That will let him know that you interested. You can exchange phone numbers, or e-mail addresses. You can also wait and see if he will invite you to a going away lunch. Does he know that you are going to work as a Pharmacist Technician?

Go for it! Since you're leaving anyway who cares? Ask him out for a coffee or something! I used to waitress part-time to get through college and I ended up marrying my boss!!! It's been 7 years and we have a beautiful baby boy, so you never know what could come of it : ) Good Luck!

If you are leaving the company, it will probably be okay. Please be sure that he is not married because often times older men try to have flings with young employees where they work and they are already married. Be careful, though because you might be the kind who falls in love with men wherever you work. Not a good idea to use the bathroom in the room where you eat.

tease back and ask for his e-mail for starters... but if you guys are friends, just say when the time comes, "so this is my last week of work, and i was wondering if i could have your number so we could keep in touch. maybe we could hang out sometime...?" and if he says no, then hey you're leaving so you wont be mortified or embaressed when you see him! good luck! =]

I guess he may like you. Send him a Christmas card. Make more eye contact and smile more. maybe he will ask you out before you leave. Also, make sure that he is aware that you are leaving.

Just stay friends!! If you think about it, if you try to hook up with your boss and in the end it didn't really work out and he hates you. How do you think that would look as a reference?

When you leave your current company, maybe you can tell him "Let's keep in touch" and see if he asks you out or at least asks for your number.
