If you are still employed, then they have until the end of January to get it in the mail. If you are no longer employed, if you request it and the forms are available, they are required to complete it then and there (your copies at least).

The companies you worked for in 2007 will mail it to you at the end of January - just like they do every year - you can't get it before the year is over

Your employer is required to send them out by January 31. Make sure your employer and any former 2007 employers have your current address so they'll get to you OK.

If you are currently employed, your employer is required to have your w2 to you, or postmarked no later than 31 JAN.

If you are no longer working for that employer, it still must be postmarked no later than 31 JAN, though you can often times request it sooner, and if they have it on hand, they may arrange for you to come it pick it up.

Your employer will send it to you. They are legally bound to send you your W-2. I think their deadline to get it to you is mid January or the end of January, sorry, I can't remember which one. Make sure they have your current mailing address.
