I had a root canal and it didn't work. I just went through this with another tooth on the opposite side and in the end, it still had to come out. I am using an herbal medicine to take the pain away so that I can still eat on that side while the other side is still healing. What happens if I choose to not remove this tooth? Will infection move into my blood stream after a while?

I take very good care of my teeth. I brush twice and floss once daily. I also have a beautiful smile and loosing my teeth is very tragic to me.

If you choose not to remove it, you could have some major, major complications. Other than having the infection move into your blood stream (which will send you into shock), it could also pinch nerves in your face and jaw, set up a bone infection that is very painful and very hard to get rid of, and even cause your whole body to become inflamed in response. A tooth infection is very serious, so please treat it that way.

well i had a friend that this happen to him and if you have an infection and dont remove it you could get gum cancer under the tooth so if i was you i would have it removed or take another procedure. their are other alternatives so that you may keep your teeth the way you want and still get that infection out.take care and god bless

Your heart and immune system becomes overloaded fighting an infection. You may develope pain in your jaw or ear as well. Bite the bullet and have the tooth removed.
