This is about as easy as it gets:

3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (18 ozs)
1 (14 ozs) can sweetened condensed milk
dash of salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

In heavy saucepan, low heat, melt chips with condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread evenly in a wax paper lined 8 or 9" square pan. Chill 2 hours. Put on cutting board, peel off paper and cut into small squares.
Yields about 2 pounds of awesome fudge
