I am turning one of our spare bedrooms into an office. My husband played college football so that is the theme. I painted the walls a very bold copper and gold (team colors). The door and trim are all white as it is throughout our entire house. I have a bunch of great blown up pictures of him playing football that are all in black frames. I'm trying to do this as inexpensive as possible. Will the black frames look tacky with the white trim?

Hang up a couple pictures first. If you don't like it, then paint the frames white.

I think it will look fine, but if you don't like it you can always spray paint the frames white rather than spending a bunch of money to get new frames.

Picture frame colors or styles have nothing to do with your trim, however, it's best to be consistent with your frame choice in a grouping. If you like black, then black it is.

I have never known black and gold not to look good together.
