Try and bend down and call the dogs name because maybe the dog has a fear of you.

if the dog agressivly barks at you still just look away and face another way and egnore the dog, it may just want attencion

if the dog still acts agressivly towards you ask your friend to remove the dog from the room when you are round as you have a fear that the dog could bite.

Hope this Advice works for you!

You may reply and ask for advice if you have further troubles

The dog is only doing its job. It will get used to you. When you arrive, hold out a clenched fist in an unaggressive way and leave it there. The dog should come up and sniff it and maybe lick it to identify you. It will probably carry on barking. Sooner or later, though, it will admit you as a member of the pack.

Dogs are like people, some are noisy sods, but basically they are worth getting to know. Once in a while you will meet a nutter, but it is rare and always because they have not been brought up properly. Dogs are not dangerous, only the owners. If the dog has been trained to be vicious, there is little anyone can do, and it needs destroying. Most dogs are incredibly nice. I prefer them to homo sapiens by a country mile, but you do have to get to know them.

NEVER yell at it, NEVER bark back, only put it in another room as a last resort, and only carry pepper spray if you are going to the cinema with Blockhead up there.

The dog should be in another room when you arrive. You can try tossing some really good treats (chicken, cheese, hot dog) to the dog about ten or 15 minutes after you get there (there's usually too much excitement around arrivals and departures; things should be calmer later). Make sure your friend has the dog on leash for this. After the dog eats the treats, it should be put away again. If you are comfortable with it, you can do this as often as you want; but you shouldn't be forced to tolerate a dog who is being aggressive to you.

If you want to avoid it tell her to keep it in a different room in the house while your there. If you want to fix the problem so this behavior stops you must confront the dog. Get used to it dogs bark, tell it NO BARK! every time it barks at you and give it treats when it's nice and quiet. Put the dog in a time out every time it barks at you which means putting it in a seperate room for 30 sec to 1 min, and then let it back out. Sounds like the dog is unsocialized and it just needs to get used to you being around. Tell your friend that she needs to correct her dog when it barks at you too.

Try making friends with her pup!! I had a friend once that had Rotties, and I was afraid of them!! I spent the night over her house one night, and I started making nice with the dog! I slipped her treats, and petted the dog a lot!! She ended up loving me, and slept with me that night!! Every time I went to her house after that, the sweetie was sooo glad to see me!! She was the most gentlest, sweetest, most GORGEOUS DOG I have ever seen!! Maybe this will help you too??!! Good Luck, have a nice sleep over!!!!!!

Dogs bark when they see a stranger.
If you come to visit, they see you as accepted by their families and therefore will accept you too. She will stop barking and try to win you over with the same antics she wins her family over Fetch, beg, wag tail, look cute and ask you to play ball.

Visit again or ask your mom to ask your friends mom to consider the fact that you are scared of the dog.

Keep calm around the dog, it will sense if your nervous. If it barks or whatever try to ignore it and if it makes a fuss of you dont panic, just stroke him and then ignore him. Ask your friend to make sure hes not always around you and tell her your not too confident with dogs. Your'll be fine :)

Try not to let him know your scared, and if he moves towards you, you do the same and show him your not scared.
Or if your not brave enough to try that just ask your friend to remove him.
Or another way is to just totally ignore the dog dont even look at him or talk or touch and he may give up!
Good luck.

Don't take any crap from that dog. It is only cowing you down because you let it. Stand you ground.

Food is the quickest way to a dog's heart and is the best ice breaker for both of you.

As quietly as you can creep up behind this big bad dog, and smack it over the ad with a baseball bat that normally does the job - anything else I can help you with, vote me in for 10 points ta
