You say that none of the contradictions in the bible are actual contradictions, so let's say you wanted to add one. What could you add to the bible that would be a real contradiciton?
Then, once you've done that, imagine giving that altered bible to a Christian who never read the bible and tell them to read it. Would they be able to tell that your addition was an actual contradiction or would they rationalize it somehow and tell you it was not a contradiction?

Let's say you didn't tell the Christian that the bible had been altered.

This was done all the time in the Old and New Testament. It's called redactive writing. Many passages were written in say the 4 B.C. and then in 3 B.C., when politics were changed, it was rewritten. There are many examples of this.
We have many different religions because many different people interpret the Bible in the way it best suits them. War is a prime example. Jesus did not preach war. God gave the commandment, "thou shall not kill." and "do not covet thy neighbor's goods," which people do all the time. There was an instance in Boulder, CO. where a couple took some land that wasn't theirs because the law said they could. They legally obtained the land that was their neighbors. Just because the Bible says not to do wrong, doesn't mean that people don't do it anyway. The law of the land usually prevails over the law of the Bible. The slaves in America were not allowed to learn to read because of what the Bible said about releasing a slave after 7 years. Many people were killed over their interpretations of the Bible since before and after Jesus was born.

If one person records 620 yrs and another records it as 600 yrs, this is not a contradiction, but what 2 men knew.
If one read ALL the bible, which includes ALL the missing books, then one would realize...
A. there are no contradictions
B. the story is more than they thought
C. all their questions would be answered... on everything
Did you know the book of Enoch alone explains in great detail what "aliens and ufo's" are? Its right there in black n white. Or you can believe a few half nutty guys who say they say men from mars and work in Area 51.

Factual contradictions within a certain position on offer often do not register, they are simply left out of the story. For example, if I believe John is a jerk and then John is genuinely nice to me, I might dismiss it as merely him wanting to con something out of me - this doesn't fit my previous conviction and so I will make it fit.
Works this way for atheists, too though - the inexplicable experience of a unified consciousness and the more-than-biochemical experience of love are either reduced to nonsensical biological explanations and stripped of their mysteriousness without actual explanation or are simply seen as completely different from faith or spirit just because, well, they must be because I already knew they were and now I just need to explain how I'm still right.

Here's a (purely hypothetical) example:
Suppose Genesis 1:25-27 said that humans were created after the other animals, but Genesis 2:18-19 said that humans were created before the other animals.
If the Bible said this it would be a contradiction, because it is not possible for God to have created humans before other animals and also created other animals before humans.

Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden , Due to family unhappiness one brother killed the other brother. (Cain and Abel) The killing brother was cast out of his family and sent to live with the tribes in the area. Where did the other tribes come from? Were Adam and Eve really the only people in Eden or had others been cast out before? For instance, maybe Seth and Mary had already been tested and failed. They were thrown out before Adam and Eve to start these other tribes. This is an actual contradiction in the Bible.

I think the biggest contradiction is how in one part of the Bible it tells you to persecute gays and in another part it tells you to love everyone no matter who or what they are.

Excellent point. Kind of highlights the root problem - which is that the Bible, like all "holy" texts can be rationalized and twisted till you're blue in the face.

"Adding" words to the Bible is against the Bible itself.
So, you have cited a contradiction in your own request.
Besides adding words to the Bible, it is also against the Bible to subtract words, or to change words.
Now go spread the word to the LDS, the JW's, and the 7th Day Adventists.
