i want the name of the category of such syrups which are mixed with drinks

Actually, Fred is correct. Mixers are non alcoholic i.e. cranberry juice, sweet & sour mix, bitters, grenadine.

Whereas cordials will contain alcohol. The answer is cordials or liqueurs. They are one in the same.

TC is right, and so are you. They are called mixers.

However, more specifically, fruit or other flavors that are mixed with alcohol are called liqueurs, and are also known interchangeably as cordials.
